I'm on Verizon as well. Unless the new phone works really well, I'm paying the fee to get out of my contract.

Those are the first negative comments I've ever heard about Verizon...
I guarantee if you try my carrier (a local provider) you will appreciate yours... tooooo many dropped calls.... but at $60/month for unlimited minutes, nationwide, unlimited texts/sms, and web... cant complain
Get what you pay for... unless it's Cingular.... they s*** and wont give you a reach around on your monthly bill

Moto V551
I love it... especially the blue tooth with this:
And I've hated Verizon ever since they charged me an extra $700 for all my free minutes and then, four months after telling me to just pay my normal fees and the rest would be fixed, was sent to collections and told that I was obligated to pay it until a manager approved the corrected bill.
I spent $350 that day to cancel both my phones on the spot and went to Cingular, who I have loved. They've bent over backwards to do whatever I ask (replace a phone early, etc)

Best phone ever---will stand any drop, or throw against a concrete wall.

Ahhhh yes, the 'ol bag phones! Until last summer that is what I had for work (Forest Service) and I too was amazed at the reception........I could get coverage where my cell wouldn't even think of getting it.

I have had Verizon since the beginning and never had a lick of trouble. I just went "flip" and would never go back!

Verizon screwed up my first 3 bills (over charging/fees for roaming/long distance fees/etc). There's a reason the guy in the commercial is asking, "can you hear me now". It seems like I'm saying that quite often as I have NO service inside my house and limited service in my office. When I tried to raise my plan to more minutes, they tried to extend my contract another two years.

I told them I was going elsewhere; they called back in five minutes to say they could change my plan without extending my contract. There have been a number of other problems, but its too early in the morning to start off complaining.

i haven't had any problems with verizon for over a year now. excellent signal stength wherever i travel. had ATT and had no problems with them for many years. I just had lousy signal strength at the house and coverage in PHX went downhill after the cingular took them over so i switched over to verizon
i have a samsung a650 one of the few phones i could find without a camera since i can't take a camera phone inside most of my clients buildings..... with ATT i always had nokia phones i still consider them the gold standard for bulletproof trouble free phones....
