Now have Qwest, and haven't had one single problem, and the price is right.

YAY PENNY!!!
Qwest Wireless actually contracts about 95% of Sprint's towers (national and international), so we get the benefits of a terrific network.

i've never had any billing / service problems with AT&T pre-cingular. I moved to Verizon solely to get better reception at my house. I haven't had any problems with billing or service with Verizon so far. most of my friends still have ATT/ cingular service and things are trending downhill in their opinion. they're getting converted over to cingular billing plans and they aren't good as the old ATT ones we had. but we all pretty much had the old digital one rate plan. no long distance / no roaming charges from anywhere in the US to anywhere in the US.
the inside scoop we heard is technology improvements are on hold until they work out all merger issues. cingular had no service in AZ prior to the merger so there was no immediate benefit here.
meanwhile verizon is rolling out one of the best highspeed wireless data networks. PHX is a test city and i can get DSL speed wireless data for my phone or laptop....

i love quest...
at their annual meeting last week, one of their excuses for poor financial performance is the lack of their own wireless service. about 2 years ago they sold off their wireless division to raise money to cover their poor financial performance....

Did SBC not have anything in AZ? I thought SBC took care of the West/Southwest.

But we turned right around and contracted to Sprint. It's actually been one of the better financial decisions they've managed to make the last few years.

We have Verizon. But in a lot of places in Michigan (and some in my hometown) you cannot "hear me now"
We called my parents from Hawaii and the connection was wonderful.
A couple of blocks from my house there is "no service"

Cingular svcked. I have had Nextel now for a few years and it's great and now that they merged with sprint they will be getting even beter, more towers and less dropped call.

I would never use Verizon, their phones are nowhere near as cool as Cingular's. Actually, I really like the reception I get with Cingular, and they are always nice to deal with when you go into their store. I'd love to upgrade to a RAZR!
