Morning person or Night Owl?

Post by MojosMama »

Since my fellow sporkers had polls today...I wanted one TOO! :P

See, no matter what time I go to bed at night...I HATE HATE HATE getting up in the morning. Always been that way. I always sleep till the very second I have to get into the shower. Although I've been way better about it lately (beddie-bye by 9:00 last night) I could stay up all night most of the time.

How 'bout you guys?

I am getting old ... so I now wake up before the alarm clock - it s*cks, as I was never a morning person ..

But during the week - I am in bed by 9.30pm

I hate mornings.. But sometimes I"m up without my alarm even going off. But I hate early mornings. I'd rather sleep till I feel I need to wake up. And I'm definitely a night owl. I'd stay up all night if I could. But work the next day would severely s***!

Actually, my answer is "C, None of the Above." I don't really kick into gear until around 9:00 a.m. And by 10:00 p.m., my brain turns to pea soup.

When I ran my saloon I would get off work at 2AM, take a sixer home and watch the Braves replay (they were the first team to replay games late at night) Then I would set my alarm for 2PM, watch General Hospital and then go back to work.

Now my alarm goes off at freaking 5AM

long before I found out about my illness I started going to bed earlier and earlier. Now I'm doing good to stay up till 10. I can stay up late occasionally but not every night like I used to. I'm much more energetic in the morning. That will eventually change I'm sure.
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.

My peak time of the day is 7 a.m. to noon. By 4 p.m. I am hitting a major wall, but I rally and make it until 10 or 11 bedtime.

I'm really neither, but I voted for night owl since I'm definitely not a morning person. I wait until the very last minute to get up for work. I can be a night owl if we go out, but if we are just sitting at home I fall asleep early.

Morning Person.During the summer. I think the day is shot when starting it at 9-10 in the morning. i can sleep on the beach or take the old power nap before going out at night

when i was younger i could be a nighthawk and still get up early

i don't sleep well at nights probably 5-6 hours top

I'm definitely nocturnal. I can stay up all night with no trouble, but I am a cranky bit*h in the morning.

At least until I get about 3 cups of coffee in me. :)

Sandi, you're not alone!

I've never been a morning person. I need at least an hour of coffee time before the caffeine kicks in. Otherwise, I drop and spill things and cannot remember anything that I hear. My brain is like glue.

I even miss my mouth sometimes when sipping the coffee and it spills down the front of my pyjamas...

My employees all know not to ask anything of me before noon. I'm not a morning person under any circumstance.

Somehow, and without the assistance of any drugs, I get up at 5:15am every day and normally go to bed around 1am. I figure I am either going to get to retire early or die trying.

I know how Jimmy feels. I get up now about the time I used to go to bed.

Since i work from home most days i have worked out a coffee routine that keeps me going all day long...
I make a 6 cup pot of coffee, have two cups with breakfast, two cups before lunch and 2 cups for an afternoon break around 3pm...it works well
I know i don't get here quite often enough
