Who's been to Riverbend? Do they tailgate, what's it like?

Since Jimmy is not going to play at Alpine this year we are thinking of going to Riverbend in OH. Anyone been there? What's it like? It says on the website there is no tailgating allowed. I can't believe they would inforce that for a Buffett show. I just want to see if I can get the low down before I commit to going. Any help is appreciated.

there is no tailgating in the RIVERBEND lots....but lots of adjactent lots that let the party roll.
Cincy is where parrotheads were born, the tailgating is awesome and JB ALWAYS puts on a great show there.....GO

When I went in 2000, everybody tailgated in the parking lot across the street from the horse racetrack, which is next to the actual venue.
It was probably one of the best tailgates I've been to.

RK, there is a group of parrot heads coming to the concert from Peoria; members of the CIPHC. They have been to Cincy for a concert before you may want to touch base with them.
