This is a question for anyone who has seen Jimmy live on the current tour. Is Jimmy throwing in an parts of other artists songs into his own songs like he did last year when I saw him? Last year during Great Filling Station Holdup he threw in a few lines of Midnight Rider by the Allman Bros and during We Are the People he threw in Twist and Shout.

As of the Hawaii show in April he was still doing Great Filling Station Holdup/Midnight Rider.

He also throws in "Twist and Shout" during the studio version of "We Are The People..." if I'm not mistaken.

I forget where I heard it, but he threw a verse of Whole Lotta Love in the middle of a song once.

In the studio version featured on
One Particular Harbour they only say "Shake it up baby" but do not go into the snippet that they went into during the LTC tour.

That's what I was referring to. I recently purchased
Live In Hawaii which features a live version of "We Are The People...", I'll have to give it a closer listen next time.

Actually it took me a minute to think about that one... I need to bust OPH back out because come to think of it there are some great songs on it I haven't heard in probably 2 years

It just came to me, I'm pretty sure it was Piece Of Work at the Margaritaville Key West 20th Anniversary show.

No, In Charlotte and Columbia the fans sing it on Margaritavision taped earlier in the day at the Margaritaville shrimp display outside

In Liverpool a a few years back Jimmy may have worked Hava Nagilla into "You'll Never Work in Dis Bisness". I think it was after the "Bubba worked a double bar mitzvah line".

A couple tours ago when George Harrison died, at the end of the show, Jimmy and Mac played Tonight I just Need my Guitar into "Here comes the Sun."

I actually thought that was pretty cool. There are some similar chords in part of Great Filling Station Holdup and I would imagine that they were practicing and came to that part and somebody just started strumming Midnight Rider and the rest is history. Just a spontaneous thing that Jimmy probably thought would work with the crowd. The first time I remember the band (primarily the ladies) do the verse from Twist and Shout was at the Today Show last year.

My personal favorite was when I saw him in Dallas in 2000 and he threw "No Woman No Cry" into the middle of "Cowboy in the Jungle."
