After living in the Virgin Islands for three years, and visiting many, many islands, I keep telling myself I will get back to the Caribbean one day.

Islands I've been too include many of the USVIs and BVIs, Puerto Rico, St. Martin, Jamaica, Caymen Islands and Cozumel.

I sailed the Atlantic in '92 from St. Thomas to Spain and during that trip we stopped at: Berumuda, The Azores, The Canary Islands and The Madeira Islands.

More recently, after living in England for eight years, I vacationed in England and France, with the last proper vacation skiing in Alpe d'huez over Christmas 2003...

However, you can take the girl away from the islands, but you can't take the islands away from the girl.

JP and I loved beach vacations ... one of the best was in Cancun ... under the palapa, just back from snorkelling, and had an iced bucket of cervesas waiting. Many more that we had planned to visit won't happen now. However, my favorites are: Dickenson Bay in Antigua, Cable Beach in the Bahamas, Flemmings beach in Maui, and so many more. Do them all while you can!

Depends on which island is having Carnival and what live bands are playing.

Abaco should be good. Bonefishing has been extemely hot the last couple weeks up by the Jolters on the north side, if you're into that kind of thing.

Yup. I leave Wednesday morning for 8 days on the Mayan Riviera. Next month, I'll spend 6 days in good Ole' Key West, and then in August, I'll be spending 7 days in the tropical locale of Washington D.C./Baltimore/Pennsylvania area.

I am having MAJOR vacationitis and I have to see this thread pulled back up....Geesh!! At least the reality is better than the anticipation.... makes it all worth while!
