But its Chicken and its Pie!!!

Much better than Shepards Pie. Shepard is some pretty tough meat, especially if you get that hook caught in your mouth.

There is something confusing about something looking like a pie and then it has peas & meat in it. Peas bother me too when they pop up unexpectedly. Meat pie is not an attractive phrase.

I get the kind with no peas - just meat, sauce, and pie. PEAS ARE ICKY, NASTY LITTLE YUCK BOMBS THAT EXPLODE WHEN YOU BITE THEM. My daughter, who eats just about anything, will not eat them.

Here is the list of stuff she won't eat:

Peas

Peas: They remind me of overstuffed zits filled with grotesque infected matter.... globules o' pus...

You can always think of it as a stew with biscuits, just not in a normal biscuit shape. I know when I make them at home, I make them with bisquick, which is also used to make biscuits.

Well, that certainly puts a different perspective on them.

Pregnancy cravings = Chicken pot pie and Wendy's Frostys
Survival food = Swanson microwave Chicken Pot Pie with pickled beets on the side!
(I have one in the microwave right now, actually!)

My oldest son has that pea-popping phobia too.

Yum-I love a good chicken pot pie--especially in the winter on one of those days when nothing is defrosted, or I just don't feel good.

My best friend makes turkey pot pie (homemade crust, etc) the Saturday after Thanksgiving with the leftover turkey-unbeliebably good!

Love those pickled beets, too, though I haven't had them alongside a potpie.
