But overall the show rocked.
This was my 11th show and I put it right up there with the show in New Orleans!!
He definitely did play CIP (I can't remember exactly where in the list - had way too many Coronas to remember order).
We were at Ontario Place around 3:00pm drinking and socializing and man did we get soaked in the downpour!!
Bringing Lennie Gallant onstage was a classy move and ending with Helpless by Neil Young was a total classic!!
All we needed was a song by Graham Nash; (we had Helpless from Neil Young and Southern Cross from Stephen Stills!)
I have 2 songs that stick in my mind from the show last night "Lighthouse" by James Taylor (Jimmy aced this one IMO) and Woman Going Crazy (I had never seen this one live and it was awesome to see it performed last night).
Bring it back to Toronto in 2006 Jimmy!!!!

I was in section 202 row O... great seats, eh?

Yeah, he did Cheeseburger. He knows to give SOME people what they want!

Did you go to the tailgating as well and see the band Northern Harbour? That guy sounded a lot like Jimmy.
Great Show

ok i have to agree that it was a really good show last night(from what i heard through rm.....at one point.i left the computer when they were having problems and came back and heard cowboy in the jungle.....for a split second i almost s#$t myself
Jimmy seemed like the energy was back... I've been asking for buffett to pull something out thats different, and closing with helpless definetly fit the bill.
I'll break down the show as follows:
Highs -- Lighthouse (hits it right on, close to the best song of the night), Helpless (in canada, very nice close jimmy

), last mango in paris, school boy heart (very nicely done)-- He played the usual suspects very well so i won't list them all
Lows -- Piece of work (i don't like that as an opener at all), scarlet begonias ( i like the song, but lets face it jimmy misses some notes pretty badly),
so, like i said very nice show. I'm psyched to see him friday, and am hoping he'll pull out something special (tonight i just need my guitar perhaps

)

I was lucky and got great seats and here is some funny stuff I caught:
When Jimmy sang the wrong verse in Volcano, he and Utley were laughing so hard that they could barely play the rest of the song, and Jimmy could barely sing it. It was hilarious. It was even greater when Jimmy came in a verse early on Margaritaville, the one song he has played more than his name is said, and Utley just stopped playing, turned around and looked at Robert, shook his head, did the "what the heck" sign with his arms and hands, and continued to laugh uncontrollably with Robert. Yeah, the video with WDWGDAS was really messed up. I saw Jimmy go over to a roadie at the side of the stage, he gave the "I have no clue what is going on" look to Jimmy, and Jimmy tried to make the best of it and get us all on track. What a great concert though. You Canadians really know how to party. Preparty was great too. Awesome job Maple Reefers, heard some of you got to meet Jimmy as well beforehand. Congrats. I was in section 203, "the beach ball section". I swear there were at least 30 of them over my head at any given moment. On the way back to the states while stopping through customs, the customs agent in the booth next to us looks at my license plate and says, "hey, its the same one before." The agent we were talking to said, "no that was FINS RIGHT, this one is FINS UPP." LOL, then he asked us if we were parrotheads as well, I said of course, and we went right through. Had a great time, hope he comes back to Toronto, I will travel to it again.

I was at the show in Toronto last night.....AWESOME!! Although I've been a fan for a long time it was my first concert. Just going through the crowds trying to get into the venue was an experience.....that was a show in itself.
I was in section 203 F...pretty good to enjoy your first show!

This was my fifth Buffett concert and the best one so far! We had a great view from section 201 row S. Jimmy seemed truly happy to be playing in front of a (mainly) Canadian crowd after a nine year absence, and he talked quite a bit about his Canadian forefathers and his family connections in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. It was a real bonus to see Lennie Gallant sit in with Jimmy on "Mademoiselle Voulez Vous Danser" - he is one of my favourite Canadian musicians. The crowd went wild when Jimmy broke into Neil Young's "Helpless" as the final encore - hearing Jimmy perform this classic song actually left me speechless! All in all, an awesome show which I would not have missed for the world, well worth the 6720 kilometre round trip.
THANK YOU JIMMY!

It was the best concert I had ever been to as well. What an awesome show. I didn't have quite as far to go though. But I was nearby in section 202.
