What is your maximum speed on your daily commute to work?

(or school)
I think I have one strech of highway with 55 posted, but most are 35 or 45. But with traffic, I'm lucky if I make it up to 30 for more than a moment.

Which is sad when driving a car with a Hemi!

I have a long drive on a highway, so I always break 70.

Highway 6 from the town of Oxford (where I live) into Iowa City, the speed limit is 55 M.P.H., and there's never any reason to go faster than that.

If you DO go over 55 do you have to pull yourself over and give yourself a ticket?
WHEN I commuted to work it was a 70mph posted speed limit on the interstate. Now on the country roads it's mainly unposted...but I have been known to exceed 55 there, weather and conditions permitting. I've also gone about 35 on that same interstate and less than that on the country roads during tule fog season. I am totally blown away by the folks still going 70+ when you can't even see the front end of your car..but of course they are also the same idits who drive in the fog without their lights on.

I have straight run down 422 to King of Prussia in PA. At 5am, just to keep up with traffic I need to keep up around 80. Afternoon, it's around 65 because the cops are out then.

I get the priviledge of driving west on I - 4 towards Tampa... the highway connecting Orlando and Tampa.
For the past 5 years I had a 26 mile commute which took me no less than 1 hour. However this year I moved my office closer to home... down the street from Jimmy's new fav Tampa home...the FORD Amphithetre.. and get off right before the traffic starts backing up...
14 miles.....15 minutes!! Woo hoo! I have given my life back at least 2 hrs a day!

When I commuted into Atlanta if you weren't doing 85 you were in the way, road hazard. Now it's back roads, 55 - 60.
