Buffett Plays DMB's Tripping Billies

For the final encore of last nights show at the Nissan Pavilion JB played a cover of the Dave Matthews Band's song Tripping Billies.

What did everyone think? I thought it rocked, good song to cover, and it came out awesome.

Seemed like a fun song. I'm sure the frat crowd loved it.
I can see them now, yelling and punching each other and screaming "yeah dude!!"
I'd never heard it but I just listened to DMB's version and I think I like Jimmy's live version better.
I just don't like Dave's voice that much but it did kinda rock with Jimmy singing although I don't know what the heck tripping billies means.

I think it was a great song. I'm not a big DM fan either but to hear Jimmy sing a different song to close out the show was great. I hope he continues to do this

I second that, I love when he switches up the set list and encores from night to night, tonights was special for me cuz I have always been a huuuge dmb fan

I can't believe it! Jimmy played Tripping Billies tonight!! I just got done seeing two nights of Dave here in Indy. It is always a favorite at Dave, and I hope he plays it at Tweeter next week in Boston!!!
