I had no idea that this was the site of Stevie Ray Vaughn's crash. I did a Google search and found that his helicopter crashed into a ski slope that was less than a mile from the venue.

Curiosity got the best of me here. For anyone who is really familiar with the area and with the crash, is that big huge ski slope that you see staring you in the face when you get off the interstate and turn the corner (Those who have been to Alpine probably know what I'm talking about) the one where he crashed?

There isn't anything in Wisconsin can be described as a "big huge ski slope"

But yes, the helicopter crashed into the ski hill at Alpine Valley. I was at the show and remember hearing the news the next morning

Well, I think you will need a navigator for this adventure. I can do Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, etc. all the way down to Florida. My fees will be a couple of beers and some beach time.
