My neighbor just gave me a turntable and I have been going through all my albums that have been tucked away in the closet. Just found "Hot Water" still in the wrapper...never been played.

I remember when the album came out I went and bought it..my parents saw it advertised in Cursing World or Sail magazine, ordered it and had it sent to my house….so I ended up with two copies.

I really enjoy reading all the liner notes and the artwork. Nothing like albums!!!

CaptainP wrote:OK....more available! These will go to the first person to send me a PM with a name/address/album wanted.

I found:

*CILCIA. Great condition!

*White Sport Coat & Pink Crustacean. Good condition, inner sleeve is simple clear plastic.

*Living & Dying in 3/4 Time. Found 2 copies, already promised one to someone. This one is a bit beat up.

*SOASOAS: Pretty good condition. Inner sleeve is in great shape!

Who wants 'em? PM me!
Just because nobody has claimed them yet...

Not sure if anyone would be interested in them but I came across a whole sh*tload of Martin Denny albums in, of all places, the post office (which doubles as a package store) earlier this week.

I was just looking for this thread....I have one record left that has not been claimed...

It's a copy of CILCIA, in good (not great) shape. Gatefold and inner sleeve intact!

I still have a copy of CILCIA that nobody has claimed.

Also....someone claimed a couple of records, but I never got a chance to send them out....I was planning to do that this week, but I've lost your information!!! If it was you, please send me another PM!

When I was ordering a new CD at the used record store the other day,
I asked the manager what kind of deal he'd give me on the used Buffett vinyl he had if I bought them all.

I got:
A White Sport Coat and a Pink Crustacean
Volcano
Havana Daydreamin'
Somewhere Over China
A Remix titled "Jimmy Buffett" - the Captain America one
A1A

Including the Loggins & Messina CD they ordered: $15.00.

:D

Just picked up AWSC&APC the other day. It was an MCA reissue though, but still better than nothing, perfect condition and only $5. Just have a few more to get now.

Figured I'd revive this thread... I just picked up a couple more albums today. I snatched up Living and Dying in 3/4 Time and OPH. That puts my JB vinyl count at 14 albums!!! :D :D :D

My how my collection has grown! Now I only need:

• Down To Earth - Z 30093
• High Cumberland Jubilee - BR/6014
• You Had To Be There - Recorded Live [2 LPs] (gatefold, 2 custom inner sleeves, foldout poster) - AK 1008/2
• Riddles in the Sand (custom inner sleeve) - MCA-5512
• Last Mango In Paris (custom inner sleeve) - MCA-5600
• Hot Water - MCA-42093
• Off to See the Lizard - MCA-6314

Riddles and Last Mango are the ones I really want, as they are the last of the series that is missing the notes and art in the CD editons, the others are just the icing on the cake I guess you could say.

I've seriously been giving thought to collecting vinyl since by Buffett cds are lacking in the packaging and most newer bands I listen to actually put out vinyl (other than David Gray  ). Plus there are two record stores nearby so I'd have a good chance at finding most things (I think). Could anyone give me any information on where or how to find a good record player? If I went out tomorrow to get one, I'd have no idea what I was looking for.

A good one is tough to find...try a DJ supply store.

You can find them at Goodwill, but it's tough to replace the needles.
