Jimmy Basing Tour in Boston?

Jus curious. It makes sense to be based in Boston for Mohegan/Great Woods.

But...on Thursday the Boston Herald ran a piece about Jimmy lunching in Boston- thus he must have been there on Wednesday or before (to make the Thursday newspaper).

So, did he just fly down to Nissan for the Wednesday show and then fly back?

Very interesting man...

probably based it out of Long Island, it isn't like it is that far a flight.

He always bases himself out of a city...

He was hungry?

He probably bases himself out of Chicago or LA on tour because he doesn't own houses in both those cities (I might be wrong about LA). But, if you are that close to the airport (he keeps hanger space on LonguyIsland), there really is no need to spend time away from home in a strange hotel bed. (even if it does make for an easier gorilla disguise)

It's entirely possible. I was just thinking that a fast hop across Long Island Sound on an 020 heading from Montauk to Providence or something similar. I know I would put up with riding in a car and sleeping in my own bed if it were just a short trip like that.

Jimmy LOVES New England-----and has typically spent the week of his GW shows in the area......fishing off Nantucket, hobnobbing on the Vineyard (and sneaking a club gig!), and taking in a Sox game or two.
He usually always ended a leg of the tour here on Labor Day weekend
and then hit the water! :D :D

He may have even been there the previous weekend. All depends on when the paper gets the news and when they can fit it in.

As for being based out of Boston, If I was him I'd stay at on LI at my house when I could.

I know in the past some bands have based out of Boston when touring the Northeast. I think the Stones on their last tour stayed at the either the Four Seasons or one of the Ritz for 3 to 4 weeks. Not every night mind you, but had the same rooms when ever they got back. They never checked out. There was a story about it in the paper. Said the band would do things like that in certain cities, especially if the flight was about an hour between cities.

He "personally" bases here at HTO from Memorial Day forward until school starts in Palm Beach even though the bus, trucks, etc. may be elsewhere for logistical purposes. He was out in the Caravan yesterday early and back in the early afternoon, and it's hangared as I type this. All of the planes were here Thursday, gone Friday. The Falcon is missing today, and I suppose it's in MA. When it's just a 30 minute flight home, JB is hardly going to stay over and be away from his family.

He stayed over last year.....

And while it's interesting to play the "Where in the World is Jimmy Buffett" game, it's pretty much none of our bidness where he is or where he stays....

And the people who watch this board and know where Jimmy are probably laughing their azzes off.... :P

:o LOL Does Bubba know there are people tracking his every movement even when he's off stage? These posts lately have really got me laughing. I can hardly keep my own darn schedule and life straight and some of you have time and energy to question every single factoid of how Jimmy walks and talks every day and what he is doing at any given second.

I love him too, no doubt. Just had to comment and give some good natured harrasment.

The front page of the JimmyDreamz web page notes:

"JB and the Coral Reefers take the Falcon to Boston every night on tour."

I don't think it's possible for Jimmy and all the Reefers to fit in the Falcon.

Whoever missed a note at the last concert.

If that was the case, Jimmy would never get out of there...

...I, my kids, my wife just happen to pass the hangars on Daniels Hole Road several times each week in our day-to-day travels, so this is just a normal observation about the "Hamptons" airport, like "didja see Morty Zuckerman's new 9000?"...not celebrity stalking...I'll leave that to people who need a life. AM planes are easy to spot because the hangar's next to the road, and the Falcon will not fit in the Sound hangar. So, when I see the 208 there, I figure it's a good possibility that JB is in town (based on what I have been told)...even when the Falcon is elsewhere. But since I've been "set straight" on this now, I will in the future no longer conclude that JB is in town when *I* think he is. However, in the future if I am in doubt of JB's whereabouts, I'll be sure to ask "the people who watch this board" since JB, Ramos, or Kino, or somebody must be have them on their Blackberry speed dial.
