I'm surprised $10 even got you in the lobby; it is Vegas you know.
Yes, it is Vegas. Sometimes its just a matter of who you know.
Heck, I've tried a $50 and a $10- and they work equally as well. So I choose the $10...It's just a simple call to that "friend in housekeeping"...
NOTE: For anyone who's new to tipping in Vegas ..it is an art form and you truly don't have to tip large amounts- you should have a pocket for singles & one for $5's, etc and tip as per value of service. With service in Vegas... all providers are alert to your every move... playing along can mean a smooth ride.
I think Vegas vets should weigh in here..

It also helps if you walk in with the owner of the club or the Director of Player Development.
I was just teasing about the amount. For those that have never been to Vegas, get ready to tip and tip frequently. It makes a huge difference on whose drink comes first and how often someone checks on you. Even if your running up a bar tab at the club, it helps to slip the waitress some cash every couple rounds.

Tipping will get you everywhere in Vegas. If you're female and wear short skirts and way high heels.... that works even better.

I once went to a drive through with a friend of mine that lives in Vegas for a coffee. She tipped the person at the window.

GOOD MORNING Vegas Fans...
Okey- Dokey...Let's keep this conga line a-shakin' and a-groovin':)
You know I was talking to some friends the other night who had just recently decided to finally experience Vegas (after considerable urging from us). They came back ga-ga over the time spent there and of couse want to back tomorrow and the next day... Ahhh, no description will ever do...just gotta go!! And just think...
WE'RE ALL GONNA BE THERE IN 15 DAYS, PARROTHEADS!!!....
VIIIIVAAA, VIIIIVAAAA, LAAAASSSSS VEEGGGAAASSSSS!!!
Now... what we all could be seriously praying for here is some great pool time weather. Please "pool time gods" - be with us!! 78 degrees-please! And no wind- thanks. I can see that Flamingo pool now...Hmmm..mmm.

Pool weather? I'd just pray that the pools are still open. Most of them were closed by mid-October last year.

Dave, have you heard from your friend yet?
No, no, no..wait up guys. There is hope ...I've been to Vegas in October almost every year now for the last 4 or 5 now- and even though it gets a little dicey some days- we've had some pretty decent experiences. It's that damn high desert- roll of the dice and all...come on "Pool time gods!!!"
Oonga-ya-ya..Oonga-ya-ay...

I'm getting in Thursday evening and staying at the MGM. Who is going to Last Man Standing?
