Savannah Jane on Radio Margaritaville
Anyone just hear Savannah Jane at the intermission, she said she will be doing a show on RM on Sirius 98 called Savannah Day Dreamin'. That is really cool!

Maybe I'm dreaming, but I thought SJ was going to start a RM show a while back and then it never happened. If I recall it was right about the time Jimmy's mother died, so I'd figured it was just postponed due to the family stuff. I guess they're finally ready to get it done.

Would you rather have native Wayne?
I am not sure how he landed his gig...or, how he keeps it!

I think Savy J is GREAT! Her interview with her dad, the night that RM came onto Sirius, was pretty cool. I think she will be able to put things in a perspective that no one else ever could. I hope to get all kinds of great stories from personal experiences her and the family have had over the years. I'm not talking about digging up any family dirt, just some funny stuff that we might never hear about any other way.

I have just really started listening to Radio Margaritaville since it came to Sirius, but I actually kind of like Native Wayne. He reminds me of the guy that did the voiceovers for the old "Vacation" channel on Sirius that Radio Margaritaville replaced. I kind of wish they'd give him his own show on RM instead of just the pre-concert thing.
I also wish Radio Margaritaville would play more of the independent trop/rock artists like the old "Vacation" used to play. I'm talking about artists like Eric Stone, Mark Mulligan, Don Middlebrook and Living Soul, Brent Burns, Rick Steffen, etc. I miss hearing all those, along with all the calypso/steel drum music that "Vacation" used to play. I'd much rather hear those artists than the non-tropical classic rock stuff like Van Morrison, CSN&Y, Bonnie Raitt, etc. that RM plays WAY too much of.
