tiki bar

Post by rmcalhoun »

Hey I was wanting to build a realtively inexpensive basic tiki bar by my pool. I was wondering if anyone had any blueprints or plans on how to do this. I cant build squat but Hey it does not hurt to try.

There are several kits online that might be about the same price. We built one and spent about $300 total on it.

I think Target had a bar at least and you could build the "Tiki" part around it. I think you could get it online.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

you can always get a couple of old Pallets, put 'em on end, nail a sheet of ply wood to the top, get some grass or fish netting and wrap around it and have the good 'ole "Beachcomber style" tiki bar.....

Party City had a tiki bar kit for 59.99. Looked kind of cool, but I didn't look too hard to see how good of quality.

I was too preoccupied by the huge inflatable margarita

It even had a lime

Thanks for all of the good ideas. That picture looked like a pretty cool bar. I cant wait to start building. I cant guarantee sturdiness, but I can make it look good.

Take a look online at the Bomba Shack. That is the perfect blueprint on building your unique bar, Tiki or not.
