Speaking of video games, is there a mall in America that actually still has an arcade? Mall of America doesn't count.

The greatest player to ever play the game was drafted from North Carolina... and would go on to change the Chicago Bulls history and the face of the NBA (and the sport in general) forever!!!!

You know there was only ONE female "Smurfette" so where did the others come from? MUHAHHAHHAAHAHHAHAHAA 8)

Besides the music and toys and other fun and food stuff allready mentioned ... I remember such as my first JB concert, for only $8.00 following a minor league baseball game...
( the loss of the Challenger,... I saw her land and take off, piggyback on the 747, on the runway in DMAFB, AZ., on the way back to Cape Canaveral. I still have a Challenger Mission coin!)

I can remember several important world changing events:
in no particular order.
The war betweenn Irag and Iran started and lasted 8 or so years.
The former Shah of Iran died...
Indira Ghandi was assainated
The failed rescue attempt of the hostages from Iran and loss of American lives and aircraft and the black eye it gave to America.
The release of the hostages from Iran and their coming home!
The bombings and attacks in Beiruit. Specifically 23 Oct 1983 the one on the barracks and the loss of 237 lives.
Bhopal India and Union Carbide
SmallpoX was devlared to be totally wiped out.
The events in El Salvador and in Nicauragua...
Ronald Reagan was elected President of the U.S.
Grenada and rescue of the medical students.
President Reagan and Pope John Paul II being shot and wounded.
Panama and the capture of Manuel "Pineapple" Noriega.
AIDS makes an appearence.....
The British and Argentina and the Falklands "war"
The shooting down of a KAL Flight by the USSR
Pretty much most of the terrorist events on US troops and the 747 over
Lockerbie Scotland, and the U.S. response(s) to Libya and Daffy Kadaffi's
infamous "Line Of Death"

and lots of other things.

I'd have to say that smurfette was one lucky girl... She had to be getting it on with all of them....
Papa Smurf was years ahead of his time...

What about "NEW COKE"...

ImageImage

stuff tasted like ass... then shortly thereafter they removed it from shelves and came back out with "Coca Cola Classic" - I think it was all a marketing ploy... to add "classic" into the name and boost sales

And before there was present day Mountain Dew Code Red... there was the original Mt. Dew Red... I think it came out summer of '86 or '87 ... 13 years or so prior to what we have today.... it just took a 10 year sabbatical

This pic was a hard one to track down :o
