The Tour de France is all over now except for the sprint for the green jersery. It'll be a little hairy with these road conditions today.
OK I remember watching the last day of the tour
a few years ago maybe Lemond was the Winner
like I said quite a while ago. I remeber that he
lead the group into the finish line and I thought it was the Tradition
if the lead was so far that the leader lead the group into the finish..

have I killed too many Brain cells??
I think that usually the leader will lead the group into the Champs Elysees, a circuit that everybody travels 8 laps of before the finish. Everybody wants to win this stage so it's a free for all at the end to see who wins, and also the Green Jersey for sprinters is still up for grabs, so the sprinters will be attempting to get a leg up most of the way. Lance will just hang in the back to avoid any crashes (he almost got into one earlier today, just avoided it but Hincapie and a few other DISCO boys fell).
And now, Al says the officials might give bonus seconds to Vino, which would put him ahead of Levi....wow....talk about a race to the very, very last .770 of a second!

Gentilly ... 42 years is a long time to wait .... a Northeast Texas woman can hope.
My love is an anchor tied to you, tied with a silver chain.
Thanks for the memories. For the Individual Time Trials. For the Team Time Trials. For the mountain stages. For "the look." For that ride across the farmer's field in 2003. For getting up after "the crash" on Luz-Ardiden. Thanks for always, always giving Ullrich's talent the credit it deserves.
Thanks for never giving up, even when the naysayers played the age card or screamed out "doper."
Thanks for the foundation bearing your name, for helping people survive and livestrong.
Thanks for living. Thanks for 7 glorious summers.
Vive Lance. May your rides now be full of children's laughter and all the gifts they bring.
Au revoir.

Thank you Lance for showing true grit in not only surviving cancer and winning (no small feats on their own) but no matter how many people accused you of doping, you passed every test. The only test you would have failed would be if they tested for hard work. In a sports world full of inflated egos, you are a true role model for people everywhere.
Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar
