I can catch the finish each morning with my coffee.

The leader (up to today's finish), Zabriskie, ate it BIG TIME right in front of the finish line. He fell back to 9th place, and now has a leg that is burgered :-?

Right here. Got home from Fort Worth at 2:00...big a$$ storm until 4:30....up at 7:30 to watch live OLN coverage....and now I'm formatting recipes!!!

Lance and the DISCO boys rode well. Timed the big push perfectly. Am so proud of Benjamin Noval. (He was dropped last year, but rode across with them today.)

I felt sorry for Zabriskie and CSC. They might have nipped the DISCO boys if he hadn't fallen. Bless his heart. 1.79 seconds...about the time it took for them to recover from Zabriskie's fall.

Having just finished LANCE ARMSTRONG'S WAR night before last, it's clear that Lance & Company are not about to lose #7 (barring some really bad luck or incredible disaster). They are in complete and total control of everything....from who stays in a breakaway to the pace of the peleton.

Lance is riding strong....and the team is amazing. I'm so happy for Big George (Hincapie). He deserves this...and maybe a top 10 finish is in the works for him.

I do miss Eki and wish he could be riding with Lance this last time. What a photo that would have been!

Continued good legs and a nice tailwind!

I must be in the minority here. Bicycle racing ranks right down there with NASCAR, you'd have to tie me to a chair and prop my eyelids open to get me to watch this.

I used to think the same, LIPH. Until LeMond. Our whole family started watching....and I've been hooked ever since. Am still learning about strategies, pedal cadence, breakaways and the importance of a good team. And, there's so much more to learn!!

I'm a sports nut , but it goes along with bowling and track and field as a spectator sport i have to agree with Larry. It's a great accomplishment and very physical don't get me wrong , but as entertainment i just can't get into it.

Tennis too. Except on a really hot day. When Maria Sharapova is getting all sweaty. :o

I'm with Larry on the NASCAR post. But I enjoy most tennis matches, maybe b/c I play. I really liked watching both Wimbeldon finals this past weekend. Both were great matches...9-7 in the last set in the women's final. And Federer is on another planet. He's like Tiger circa 2000-01.

Let's hope so... the commentator on OLN keeps calling Lance "The Machine." I'd say that's a pretty accurate remark.

ETP, who poses the biggest threat to Armstrong this year?? I'm sure Ulrich will come on strong soon, and I remember Ivan Basso challenged him for a while last year. I think that Team Discovery is strong enough that they could place a whole bunch of cyclers in the top 10... perhaps the 2nd best after Armstrong is actually on his team???

I must be weird because I'd rather watch cycling than some football or basketball games (pro basketball, that is). There's more margin for error in football and basketball than cycling I think (same with NASCAR) and I think it's fun just hanging on the edge of the seat to see what's gonna happen next.

TT: Biggest threat will show himself in the mountains. I look to Basso or maybe Vino. Vino rides into himself so much, you just never can count him out. Vino's being out in 2004 with injury made Lance's life a lot easier. (IMHO) Heras and Landis don't seem to be "there" yet, but we've got lots of time. Jullich is not to be counted out yet, either.

A lot depends on how Triki and Chechu feel as they get to the hills. If they're "on," I don't think anyone will be able to hang with the DISCO boys. I also think we're going to be pleasanty surprised by Salvodelli and Popo once we get to the climbs.

This is not just about the Tour. It's an audition for who will take Lance's place next year.

LANCE ARMSTRONG'S WAR really helped me see just how strong the DISCO team is. If you like cycling, you might want to pick it up.

Of course, one can never discount Big Jan. Lance's crush on the ITT may be the impetus to push him. He looked good in the TTT today. But, again, the course was flat and perfect for his big funky gear.

I hated it about CSC and Dabriskie. I really think they might have nipped the DISCO boys w/o the fall. It will be interesting to see how the young kid from Utah comes back from this. I understand they're looking at possible broken ribs. I sure hope not. The road rash didn't look too bad/deep. Bless his heart. "No definitive reason" for the crash, according to CSC's officials. Just shows how Lady Luck can turn on a dime, huh?

I agree about a DISCO boy standing with Lance. Wouldn't it be PHABULOUS to have Hincapie on the podium with Lance on the Champs Elysées? Or maybe Popo? Big George would be my sentimental favorite! He pushed himself to the max today....led him up to the line and let him cross the line phirst. I think it was George that Lance was reaching for after the finish line.

DISCO boys rode safely today.

CSC crashed at the feed zone. Bad, bad luck continues to follow them.

Lance would not wear the yellow jersey this morning because he said, after watching the video, CSC might have won if Zabriskie hadn't crashed.

He wanted to earn the yelllow.

Race officials threatened to disaqualify him. So, he rode off without it and put it over his DISCO jersey in the first KM.

I have to go to the office.....but it looks like there will be no big changes in the overall GC....unless something happens in the last few K's....

Win will prolly go to a sprinter.

Robbie McEwen won - not a fan of that punks at all

No change in the GC.

On a side note - I went to trekbikes.com to play the Lucky 7 game yesterday and I won a Vacuum Cleaner  (valued at $180)

What happened today?? Some big crash or something?? I'll catch it again on OLN again, I missed it the first time though because I was sleeping
