Hotel info needed for Cincinnati...help!!

Post by mlascheid »

We want to get a hotel for 8/20 & 8/21, but have no idea what would be a good location near Riverbend. I assume the closest hotels are already booked...but still optimistic. Any help on hotel locations within a reasonable distance would be greatly appreciated!!!! Can't wait for the show! Thanks.

Ramada Inn Ft. Wright, KY

Post by boston man »

I am going to the show and reserved a room at the Ramada Inn in Ft. Wright,KY for only $65 a night. I am flying in on the 20th and the Ramada is about half way between the airport and Riverbend. Let me know if you want more info and I will get it to you.

The hotels closest to Riverbend (7.5miles) are on I275 exit 65 - that is the Beechmont exit and are 2 & 3 exits from the venue; express quick on quick off. About 3 miles from Cheeseburger These hotels include:

Red Roof Inn (known as phlocking central past years)
Motel 6 (outdoor pool) (internet rate for 2 queens $40.00) next to Hooters
Best Western (outdoor pool)
Days Inn (outdoor pool & restr)

However, Cheeseburger in Paradise is just one exit further (exit 63) and a couple miles down Route 32. This is probably where the Cincy club is putting together their packages. This is right in the middle of a huge shopping district with lots of restrauants.

Hotels include

Fairfield Inn (walking distance to CIP) (pool & whirlpool)
Holiday Inn (walking distance to CIP) (indoor pool & restr/bar)
Hampton Inn (walking distance to CIP same side of road) (outdoor pool)
Comfort Suites (longer walking distance to CIP) (indoor pool)

If you go into Expedia and use the Lodging wizard: put in the addy for Cheeseburger 812 Eastgate North Drive you can view most of the hotels. However you may find it cheaper to book on the phone or on their own website.

Hope this helps......see you at the BegAnniversary bash!

Oh yeah, I live at exit 65 so if you need more info let me know.

How do I find out more about the "happenings" at Cheeseburge in Paradise that weekend?

Is it going to be on the 20th or 21st or both?

Let me know!

You could try emailing them. The website only shows 1 month of entertainment at a time.

Partofthephlock....

I can get a room at the Days Inn East , Mt. Carmel, Tobasco Rd. is this the location that you were talking about? If so, do you know if it is a decent hotel? How many miles to Riverbend and CIP? Sorry for the questions, but I have no knowledge of the area. Trying to get my bearings on a map! Thanks

mlascheid,

Good to hear from you.
Yes, the Days Inn East is right at exit 65 and is in walking distance to the Red Roof Inn (aka Phlocking Central) and the Best Western. It is 7-7 1/2 miles from Riverbend all expressway, unfortunately the hotels out this way do not offer shuttle service to Riverbend. It is in walking distance to McDonalds, Smokey Bones, and Burger King and Tony Romas. It has a lounge and outdoor pool. If you have AAA you get a price break.
Days Inn is not the most parrot head friendly hotel, every year they raise their prices just for the nights Buffett is in town. My understanding is that some parrot heads got pretty rowdy one year and trashed the place. oops. But as far as accomodations it is nice and convenient as you can get to the venue.

IF you need to be a little more conservative with your spending you may want to check out Motel6 it is at the same exit. Rooms are still available and are running 1 or 2 queens for 45.99 per night or 41.39 internet rate. I have stayed there before and the rooms were simple, clean and everyone was nice. It is in walking distance to Hooters, Wendy's Arbys and Garzelle's (fab pizza etc) (these are on the same side of road) and across the road is Red and a Chinese restr. Here is the info on the Red Roof

Hope this helps.

CIP shuttle/event

Post by JimmyGirl »

I called the CIP and the manager said they are working on getting a shuttle and their Buffett event, but no details yet. He said to call back in a week or so when he expects to have everything set.

POTP.....

Thank you, thank you, thank you.....your info is very helpful. It's hard to make plans when you don't have knowledge of the area. I'll check out Motel 6 and Red roof, but at least I know I have a room at the Days Inn if all else fails! Already have my tix to the Sat. nite party. Everything in due time!

We have stayed at this motel for the past 2 years and it is just okay, but close to Riverbend.
