New Margaritaville FLAVORED tequillas!!!

Post by CaptainP »

I just found out today the CIP will be the only place you can get the new Margaritaville Flavored Tequillas, at least at first. Not sure when they'll be debuting, but in the next few weeks. They have been test-marketed only up to now. We'll be receiving them soon. I don't know the flavors yet, but will update when I know more!

Terrible. I tried the Island Lime flavor this past weekend, thinking it would be a nice addition to the July 4th margaritas....I ended up pouring out my drink and moving onto the beers.

It doesn't taste like tequilla at all, but more like a lime popsicle. I think it would make a nice mixer with tonic water or sprite, but stay away from it for margaritas. Stick with the regular.

Oh, I picked it up at the Ralphs in Newport Beach, CA. They also had Last Mango flavored tequilla, along with the Mango margaritavill mixer.

That's odd, because I had a margarita made with the mango flavor
right at a month ago at Rapscallions...

They were both very good...

They had them at the Rink Bar in Rockefeller Center last month and Margaritaville Tequila is sponsoring another party there tonight. I thought the mango punch was pretty good - mango tequila, peach schnapps and mango puree. The pina colada made with the coconut tequila wasn't too bad either.

The mango thing I will definitely have to experiment with. But a pina colada made with tequila? I'm a traditionalist. I need the nice dark rum flavor (mmmmm ... Myers).

I'm a rhum girl for the coladas, too.

Mango . . . . hmmmmmmm . . . . possibly.

I am on my third bottle of Island Lime and the second bottle of Last Mango. :pirate:

I like the Island Lime straight up over crushed ice. :P

Makes a pretty good marg using 2 shots of Island Lime, 1 shot of Last Mango and finish up with marg mix.

This coming from a household that may contain the largest collection of Patron bottles north of the border! :o :o

Don't know if they can ship to every state, but http://www.bevmo.com/productinfo.asp?sk ... al&Ntk=All
has 4 flavors.
And it is cheaper than when we bought it at a store in FL.

I just spent 4 days over at Universal Orlando and made several trips over to Margaretville and was the bartenders guinea pig for several of the new flavored tequilas…some were good and some were “not so good”. Found myself going back to rum drinks after awhile….but will probably pick up a few flavors and experiment by the pool this summer.
