LOL, that reminds me of a political cartoon back when Carter was running for president. Teddy was driving the limo and Carter was sitting in the back seat wearing SCUBA equipment.

and yes, I read your position. I read the post. I am just amazed that you felt the need to disparage a system under which you've never lived, worked, or spent much time around. As for starting &*^$&, it was more of a rhetorical question I guess, I didn't expect you to do more than parrot something. I believe I may have addressed the responsibility issue, although it might have been tangentially, and would have required critical thinking skills on your part.Sam wrote:You have no idea of my shoe size.... tell me, do you have a problem with people removing your ice skates and muk-a-luks sideways from your anus before you open and insert them into your mouth up to your hips??? I was being polite in giving you credit for shoes that large....
Actually, "Sparky", I really don't give a sandgnat's fart in a Class V hurricaine why you asked or about your attempted insults. I would tell you where to shove it but with you having such a high opinion of yourself there is clearly no room.
Tell us "Sparky" justhow much service you have committed to the military and what weapons you fired and qualified with...or are your NoDak skates and muk-a-luks in the way again?
Thanks for demonstrating your immense grasp of geography. and if you feel the need, feel free to tell me to stuff it. Your opinion on the worth of my opinion is still a quantum order of magnitude more than the level of value I place on yours.
You have your opine and I have mine. And I am not sure that you actually bothered to opine one way or the other on the weapon or people actually being responsible for themseleves,or did you just come in to start some more of your usual $#!+.![]()

Frederick Forsythe's book from the 1960s?joe_pyrat wrote:
This looks like a modification of a weapon which has been around for awhile.
An earlier version was used in the movie "Dogs of War" back in the early '80s.

Correct Ring, Christopher Walken was the lead character. The movie was fairly close to the book too.

Interestingly, the prototype weapon is pictured on the movie poster.

the original gun was a Smescher (SP) but execpt that the movie covered the book very well.

Actually the weapon in the movie was based on a Jown Browning design. The orignal design was in 20mm if I remember correctly and was made in small quantity in the 1920s.
The weapon in "The Dog's of War" was in 30mm and used "Hollywood ammunition".... such as the "rocket" rounds. The weapon itself was quite real at the time of the movie and one had to wind it like a clock to get it to cycle and would fire twice before it had to be rewound.
Currently, I cannot remember who manufactured it and the ammo for it. It did not see large scale distribution.
It also highly resembles what was called a "Stryker 12", a 12 guage shotgun that fired from a round magazine. It was made in South Africa originally and was one of the weapons popular with the antigun crowd.
This particular weapon is derived from the one used in the movie "Predator".
