I love that site! There was one a few months ago that said something along the lines of "I lied to my husband when I said I cheated on him to get a divorce. I really want a dirvorce beccause he likes Jimmy Buffett."

THat's not the exact thing, but that's the gist of it.

I feel really bad for some of them if they're real.

Kind of makes me glad I really don't have any deep dark secrets.

I saw that before. Even if she doesn't like Buffett but to lie to get a divorce just because he does? Come on now. I agree with you about liking Buffett. Disliking an artist your husband likes should not be grounds for lying to get out of a marriage.

One of my students sent me the link to this site and I just wanted some feedback from you all. Do you suppose it really is as cathartic as the therapist says? I felt like a voyeur reading some of them, but it was an affirmation that, no matter how messed up things seem in one's own life, someone else has issues that are messier.

It's a little like watching Jerry Springer. My life is not as messed as some other people so I feel better about myself

Maybe this site is like that, but helpful for the people who have secrets because they will not feel as alone with their problems.
