They suspend alcohol sales so that if you DO have to quickly evac during the 'cane that you aren't driving drunk.
like they are going to pull you over and breathalize you in 140mph winds..
No, but at least they won't have to pull your dead bloated corpse out of the floodwaters because you were too drunk to get out of the car when it submerged.

I heard a report yesterday that the only reported damage to Gitmo was a light tower went down....I still wonder the detainees think about such a storm....

And I feel for everyone in this storms path...still have a few hours before we feel the full effects in the Tampa Bay area...although it will only be just rain, wind, and storm surge...((ph.p.)) to those in the panhandle, MS, and AL...
I was watching a kids TV show this morning and they had a segment on Cyclones (Hurricans and Typhoons - all the same thing).
So .. the ones in the southern hemisphere do spin in the opposite direction to those in the northern .... just like our water down the sink ..... learn something new every day! (I knew about the water in the sink ... didnt even think the cyclones would spin differently - but it makes sense)
Saw some footage of the Keys on TV ..... hope it disappears soon ...

In Orlando we've been having a Michigan breeze all day and just now starting to get some storm action. BG's and GB, saw on the news they did voluntarys in your neck of the woods.
