I went to go see Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson play the minor league ballpark here Friday night.

The opening act, the Greencards, was amazing. Definately an act I'll have to check out.

Willie Nelson. Man, what a great show. You've never heard a song performed until you've heard Willie Nelson do it. Man, it was great! The whole crowd was just singing along really getting into it, and you could tell that Willie really enjoyed being up there on stage. I've been a fan of Willie Nelson for years, and after this weekend, even more so! Willie's show alone was worth every penny of the concert ticket.

Bob Dylan. I never really got into Bob Dylan. But I wanted to check him out anyway. After the third song, we left. We just couldn't understand a damn thing he was saying.

I've seen Bob 3 times in the last 5 years and his voice is long gone and for some reason he plays everything loud now. I respect the fact that he is older than dirt and still touring most of the year but he really needs to change up and maybe go back to playing strickly acoustic shows in smaller venues.

Glad to hear Willie is still putting on a great show, haven't seen him in a few years but he's an American classic.

They were at the stadium here last night. I had planned on going, but ended up staying home due to the wife's poor health acting up again.
I heard it was a GREAT concert. I don't know who, if anyone opened for them. If I had to guess, I'd say that same act. (Greencards).

They're scheduled to play Driller Stadium in Tulsa some time this month, should be a great show!


Willie had his 4th of July picnic in Tulsa at the fairgrounds in 1977. That was the last outdoor show in Tulsa for about 8 years.

They said a couple of times during our show that they were touring the country with the show, so I would suppose that they were there also.
