Fingers Taylor & KD Moore in Michigan

Post by z-man »

Anyone in the southern Michigan area who wants to see Greg "Fingers" Taylor in a wonderful, small setting should plan to be at the Bancroft Tavern (between Flint and Lansing, just off I-69) Saturday night, July 16.

He and KD Moore cover Buffett songs, play some blues, and just generally jam well into the night. They will start around 9PM; when I saw them there in April they played til after 3AM.

It was wonderful to be able to listen to and visit with the world's greatest harp player, and the two of them sound GREAT together.

Bancroft!............you can't be serious! Have got friends in Bancroft plus my dad used to live in Bancroft. Talk about out in the middle of nowhere. Okay, I guess the folks in Durand wouldn't call it out in the middle of nowhere. Nonetheless, thanks for the heads up!!

Have to see if I can talk the wife and some friends into this one!

I thought Bancroft was 20 minutes from nowhere and the nearest McDonalds was in UP? :D
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

I'm flying solo this weekend, just flying up for the show. She will be at the Tavern with me the following weekend.

Incredible evening.
Fingers and KD played from before 9 til after 2AM.
Good to meet you, Dr Corona!
Greg signed CDs and visited with everyone all night.
For anyone interested, Fingers and KD will be back to the Tavern next April and will record the show for a live CD.

Right back at you "Z"! Not often the entertainment starts before their scheduled time! That shows how fan friendly they really are!

Just can't get enough of Fingers! Unfortunately, with friends in tow we couldn't make it past midnight before heading back to Flint Town but I'm sure the real partying kicked in after that. Nonetheless, a great show while we were there!

Well, by 2AM the Bancroft Mayor had been down on the floor doing the alligator dance, the Tavern owner (who is an excellent blues harmonica player) was sitting in with KD, and Fingers was up dancing with half the attractive women in the place.
