WATCHING THE AVS IS NOT WATCHING HOCKEY!!!!!
The NHL is made up by 8 real teams and a bunch of others.

Oh god I LOVE hockey!!!
Hockey is the only reason hubby and I will get cable/dish television. We've been without cable since we moved into our new house a year-ago March. Since the Avs games are contracted with a cable-only network, we'll have to get it in order to watch. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's not so much just the sport of it, though. During playoffs we always have friends over for BBQs and such. It's a huge social gathering for us, even moreso than football (which generally coincides with folding laundry). Not having the playoffs this year really s*cked. Even on our honeymoon we were talking about how it was a good thing that there weren't playoffs because they would have conflicted with our honeymoon.
Now whether the Avs will have anything in them this year, is yet to be determined <shut up Troy>.

I tried to get into college hockey this year, but the games weren't really on when I could watch. It really took off big time here in Colorado with DU doing so stellar and minus the Avs. Colorado also won the President's Cup in the CHL as well. I think we're going to try and make some of those games this year, as they are an affordable way to enjoy hockey.BostonFins wrote:As much as I am glad to have the NHL back, it still won't replace College Hockey as my main sport. NCAA D1 Hockey is a better game.
