I've heard of it.... Kids played this when I was a kid, but not by hanging themselves; by choking each other.

Wow! I didn't hear of the second one. The first one hit a little closer to home as it was the best friend of my wife's good friends stepdaughter to be.

We didn't have to choke ourselves to get high - we had pot.

It's actually a practice that's quite popular in some sexual circles because ("they say") it enhances orgasm. One of my best friends' boyfriend's died that way as well. Sexual asphyxiation I think it is.

I remember one time, the teacher was out of the room and some kids did that. One kid passed out and crased through a desk. Another fell against the chalkboard, and they were both out when the teacher got back.
I laughed at them, mostly wondering how damn dumb people could be.
