Thai red curry chicken.
I made it.

MMMMM Served with plain Yogurt I am thinking????

Oh wait Wrong Curry....
You're right, it would be served with yogurt.
When I lived In California I got invited to a lot of cookouts with the Thai
people

you knew you were in trouble when there was Yogurt on top and
a beer in their hand when they said "You try this??"
Yep.... and you knew if you have the beer when you have something spicy it will singe your mouth.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

True dat!

The yogurt definitely cools the lips and mouth if something is really fiery, which this particular one was not. It was more of a fragrant curry . . .deeeeelicious.

I have found that most Canadians don't like to eat food as spicy as we do, although they seem to devour Buffalo wings pretty regularly.

I'm from the Niagara area of Canada, maybe my proximity to the US is why I like spicy food?

And Canadians don't eat out as much as Americans. I prefer to cook my own dinner...
Hey I'm also from the Niagara area. 8) I love spicy food. Suicide is the only way to eat wings.

I gone from suicide to suicide and honey garlic. Toss the wings in suicide, then the honey garlic. The sweet adds a whole new sensation, but does not diminish the spicy. Love it. Turtle Jacks does a good job of this with their Baton Rouge sauce, a combination of cajun and honey garlic.
Dumb and drunk as I was, you know I would do it all again.

To each is own....I don't hate my a$$hole that much. I can cook from very mild to hotter than a thermonuclear blast....I cook so everyone can eat it...and a seperate batch for people that like it hot. One person ( I think was from Texas ) kept whining it was not hot enough....I hate to waste food, so I made some just for them...they did not eat all of it...and they never complained about anything else I cooked not being hot enough again...nor did they ask for it that hot ever again.

I know there were quite a few ethnic restaurants up there when I was there... But perhaps "Canuckians" as a whole in their recipes is what Beerman is referring to...? I dunno. Maybe the peppers don't grow wild up there or are not as popular as they are in the warmer climates.

Then again I never went to Canada for just the food.... 8)

It's not just the Canadian food that is bland. Much of the food in the upper midwest in the US is pretty bland too, especially when compared to the heat in much of the Texas and Cajun cooking.
