It's a throw- away humid cloudy day today in the metro Jones Beach area. Didn't make sense to go to the beach so Mrs Goodman and I went off to do some shopping. I'm like on auto-pilot navigating thru stores until we get to Kohl's. We're looking for some rug runner (not rum runner). Suddenly I hear the faint strains of the opening to Mexico on the store's PA system. I'm thinkin gotta be the JT version but I'm wrong. Sure enough it's the JB cover (IMHO beter than the original). I'm dancin and swaying and singing surrounded by carpets. Just another day in Paradise, errr- Mexico.

Likely as close to a JB@JB concert as I'll see this year.

Agreed. I love the faster style that JB put on that song.

I also loved the Southern Cross from JB better than the original.

Must be standard Kohl's music. They play it in Southern Illinois too. Does make shopping even more fun!!

Havent heard it in Kohls yet... but I did hear it at Lowe's a couple months ago... THAT really shocked the hell out of me... oh and while pumpin gas at a Texaco a few weeks ago as well

Only Time Will Tell came on at Barnes & Noble yesterday. Should've seen the looks on some of the peoples' faces when I started dancing in the aisles...

The store I work at plays Mexico all the time. It sure puts u in the mood to finish ur shift.

They play JB's version of Mexico at my grocery store. They also play it at my bookstore, but that's because I pick the music.

I heard Knees of My Heart at Rainforest Cafe if that counts

They play Mexico at the drug store that at work at...and Come Monday occasionally...Its a Muzak satelite feed.

The Pittsburgh Steelers use Volcano while the referee is reviewing a play on the sidelines. Noticed it last year in the playoffs and LMAO.

We dont play music at Target, it apparently "disrupts and distracts the 'guests' shopping experience."

The G.I. Joe's (Oregon sporting goods store) near our house plays Buffett all the time. You can get up to 3 songs in less than 1 hour in there. And a pretty good variety too.

I hear "Mexico" all the time when I shop at "Stop & Shop" I always sing along! Makes grocery shopping worth the effort.

Tryin for an even thousand hits before I go to Sears this weekend.
