If I'm reading this schedule right, the last trains leave the are of the concert at 10:38 or 10:41. That might be iffy for a 9:00 concert. If I am wrong someone feel free to correct me. I'm new to this whole mass transit thing. We do not have a system like this in south Florida.

Yes, that's right... Hickory Creek is the station you want. Now I am just trying to think of more ways you could get there... you could call a cab, limo, or put together some kind of charter from the city if you can find enough interested BN'ers. I don't know exactly who is staying in the city, though.

Nobody I've ever heard of. Disappointing, because HoB Chicago is a very nice venue. I believe this Coloseium (sp?) is in a strip mall but I am not sure.
I can confirm the date for Mac McAnally at the Colosseum. My name is Jeff Gargas and I am Director of Promotions for the Pearl Room / Colosseum Entertainment Complex. The complex is in a strip mall, but that can be deceiving. The inside of the Colosseum is 20,000 sq. ft. and our beer garden (where Mac will play, weather permitting) is another 20,000 sq. ft. with palm tress and waterfalls.

Tickets should be available by the end of the week. Because it is a bar, the show will probably be 21+... but based on your posts, I'll see what I can do about changing that.

If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me at JGargas@colosseumbar.com.

Thanks and hope to see you there.

Welcome aboard, Jeff, and thanks for the info!

There are several <21 Mac fans around; it'd be great if something could be done to get them in!

I can fit into a trenchcoat 8) Or we could find some way to get ahold of Mac and have him say I'm in with the band. 8)

Mac Concert

Mac puts on an awesome show. I have seen him twice already this year - once at a show before the Vegas concert and last week in Corinth, MS. If you can make it, even though it is in the suburbs, the drive will be worth it. Mac sings most of the Buffett songs he wrote as well as a bunch of other songs you will recognize. He tells a lot of stories about how the songs originated and will sign autographs/talk to fans for after the show! Hope to see a bunch of you....looks like a great place to see Mac and get ready for the weekend!

Welcome to BuffettNews Jeff!! We appreciate when venue representatives register, and open lines of communication to the fans.

Like the others have said, it would be great if you could allow consideration to our under-21 friends.

Keep us posted on additional developements, and let us know if we can help you in any way! Hopefully I'll see you there on the 2nd, if not before! :D

I figured I was reading the schedule right. The concert is at 9:00 and the last train out is 10:41. At the present time it does not look it will happen for me. I am still holding out hope. If not I'll just find a nice place downtown to drown my sorrows.

Map to Mac

**UPDATED** Map to Mac's venue for Sept 2.

Mac's web & google maps agree that Old La Grange Rd is spelled Old Lagrange Rd, although I don't recall seeing the "Old" on the website. (I guess to tell it apart from the well known La Grange Rd) so maps.google did much better when I gave in to their mis-spelling.

Thanks for pointing out the difference.

This is actually kinda deceiving... It is on "Old" LaGrange Road, which runs parallel to Rt. 45. You get off I-80, go south about 1/4 mile to the first light (191st St.). You turn left there and make almost an immediate left at the White Castle. This is "Old" LaGrange Road and the bar will be on your right.
