until I left my charger thingie in the hotel in Orlando, the cell was charged daily. Now that I am using my car charger it's charged when I get in the van.

I sold cell phones a few years ago and I was always told to charge up only if the phone was completely dead or eventually it would ruin the battery

Supposedly, they fixed that when they went to the Lithium Ion battery... but I don't believe them.

I've always heard the same thing from hubby...that you should let it die all the way before recharging because it helps reset the memory in the battery or something. I usually ignored him when he'd say that, so I could be so completely wrong.

That is what I did with my old phone. It sucked to have to charge it in the car all the time.

I charge mine every night leaving it on. My wife has a little different system though. She never puts it in the charger but instead waits for the annoying "low battery" beeping sound to drive me crazy and I then put hers in the charger.
She has me well trained don't cha think.

I charge mine when it starts chirping like a cricket to tell me that the battery is almost dead. Used to be able to go days without charging it, now I'm lucky if I make it a day or two. I'm ready for a new phone.

Okay stupid question...but since I'm not "home" to get a new phone, can I just go to the Cingular kiosk at the mall and get a new one there since I'm out of my home area? :-?
