We are heading to Dauphin Island, AL again and are planning another overnighter in Nawlins. Two years ago we did this but didnt go with hotel reservations and ended up finding a place (without looking around alot) about 3blocks away. Nice hotel but 3 blocks, drunk/walking/tourists/loud, even drunk it worried me. We dont go during the busisest time so we should be able to get a room without a problem.
Does anyone know of a good hotel on Bourban near all the action?
Thx

The BEST...Royal Sonesta Hotel:

The Second BEST...Chateau Sonesta Hotel:

The Royal is in the heart of Bourbon/French Quarter. The Chateau is more towards Canal street...but, right on a corner of Bourbon St.
There are also the Marriot, Sheraton, J.W. Marriot...all very close to the Canal/Bourbon St. interstection (great for catching street cars)!
Geezzzz, now I am homesick!

We've stayed at the Inn on Bourbon. I think that is also their website. Balconies overlook Bourbon Street.

I second the sonesta suggestions... stayed there for teh sugar bowls a few years. There's a holiday inn right there too, that's not too bad at all...

We wont be there anytime soon lovin, got a few months to go but wanted to get reservations as soon as we could.
Looks like the Inn on Bourban got the nod.
