Tennesse vs. VT at Bristol

Post by Tailgate-Lady »

OK - NOW maybe $20 Million will encourage the Vols to show up! Let's make a little football history, already! I was in a record breaking crowd at the Michigan - ND game two years back (record was broken again later that same year) but I was taken aback by how there were great numbers but not the unbridled, spontaneous crowd involvement that we have at Tech and that I witnessed from Tennessee at a Gator Bowl some years back. Those two sets of fans (VT and UT) could ROCK Bristol.

Here's hoping it happens!!

The season is finally here! Woo hoo!

So who is going to a game this week? I'll be at the Clemson/Texas A&M game here in Death Valley. Look for me on TV--I'll be the one wearing orange.

Be careful. I hear the Tigers like to start fights.

I will not be at the game this week. Boise State is in Athens. And I don't think you are allowed in GA with a full set of teeth. Thus, I will stay home.

Clemson/A&M should be a good game. Have fun!

I'll be at Nebraska's season opener (against the mighty Maine Bears  ) on Saturday night. I'm planning on coming up later in the season for the Oklahoma/Nebraska game (my own personal support group--OU Alumni for Nebraska :D ). I'd hoped to get to a couple more this season, but with a baby on the way and gas prices the way they are, those will probably be the only two I make it to this year.

There's a shock. The biggest name on the list is no longer being told what to do.

Since we're banning ethnic nicknames, why not the "Fighting Irish"?

Well its time for some football!!! Getting ready for this Thursday nights game with UCF. Plan on starting tailgating pretty early. Dont know what to expect from our team, but hopefully Spurrier has them ready to go. Should be a fun time no matter what, with ESPN Gameday, and Sportscenter being here.

I might even cheer for Clemson on Saturday, but that is a BIG might

Wow. I have never met a Gamecock to say that. I'm speechless. Makes me feel kinda bad for cheering for UCF Thurs. night (though I know it will be futile). But I'm genetically programmed to cheer against USC, so I can't help it. Sorry.
