I find that kind of hard to believe. I have been to Columbus wearing the other schools colors, and have been to many Big 10 games where OSU was the visitor. In most cases OSU fans were among the better behaved I have been around. I was in Bloomington at the IU vs Ohio St game last year for dads day, and there were more OSU fans than IU fans. We were in a sports bar after the game and several OSU fans bought us a round since we were cheering for Purdue against Michigan.
Didn't a bunch Buckeye fans burn and loot a few years back after a big game?
And I think they won that game. Of course they were not being mean to other fans.

Well almost time for another weekend of football. I will be at the USC vs Bama game. After last weekends close lost to UGA, looking for a big win against Bama. I honestly dont know who to go for in the UT vs UF game. I think I will just stay nuetral. I know it will be a very good game to watch. And last I have to say congrats to VANDY for being 2-0. GO DORES!!! Oh cant forget to say good luck to the Tigers vs The Canes. Hey, CUPARROT, what do you think about them moving the USC vs Clemson game to Thanksgiving weekend?

I'm thinking Florida will handle Tennessee this year.
I know the Gators have only played Wyoming and LA Tech but they looked great against them and got plenty of reps running their offense.
Usually I'd think a week off would be a good thing but with UT looking so bad in their first game and with qb issues I think it could bite them this time.
And speaking of QB issues.
The Noles have a tough one this week at Boston College.
I expect them to win but it could be a tough one.
Thank god the defense is hitting on all cylinders.

I am not too happy about moving the rivalry to TG weekend. We travel for TG to see family in Virginia, and this just means we'll have to come back early, at least every other year anyway. What did you think? I know they've been talking about moving the game to that weekend for a while. At least they didn't move it to TG Day--that has been discussed in the past as well.

Buckeye fans...a real class act:
Ohio State TE receives hate e-mail

Ohio State tight end Ryan Hamby has received a couple of hate letters since dropping a sure touchdown pass during the Buckeyes' loss to Texas last week.

Cutting over the middle into the end zone, Hamby was open when Justin Zwick's pass bounced off his chest and into the air. He had a second chance to grab it but was slammed by a defender just as the ball touched his hands.
A touchdown would have given Ohio State a 10-point lead in the third quarter. The Buckeyes ended up settling for a field goal and eventually lost 25-22 to Texas.
"I can't think about it too much because we still have a lot of football to play," he said as the ninth-ranked Buckeyes prepared for Saturday's game with San Diego State. "I'm not going to lie. I think about it some times. But you've just got to move on."
A senior from Cincinnati, Hamby said he had a sleepless night after dropping the pass.
"I just came open and, I don't know, it all happened so fast," he said. "I knew I caught the ball and it got knocked out of my hands. I was kind of laying there thinking, 'Man, I wish that didn't happen.' But it's part of life and you've got to deal with it."
Asked about the content of the letters, Hamby said, "I'm not going to talk about them, but they're just dumb things. You almost want to say, 'You know, in the scheme of life there are things going on around the world. It's just a game."'
Several of Hamby's teammates supported him Tuesday, saying that there were plenty of opportunities to win the game regardless of what happened on that one play.
"It kind of makes me upset that people would do that to him," linebacker Anthony Schlegel said. "I don't see them out there."
Hamby said he was doing his best to forget the play - and the ugliness of the fans.
"I've thought about it and stuff and it's hard, but you've got to deal with it," Hamby said. "I've got my teammates, coach (Jim) Tressel - everybody's behind me. So I'm not going to worry about it. We've got San Diego State and we've got to focus on that."

What's with Lloyd Carr? He's still complaining about the no review on Henne before his fumble on the goal line. There was a dead ball foul against ND. That means no play. I guess he is not familiar with the rules.
Carr: Coaches should get to ask for review
September 15, 2005
Michigan coach Lloyd Carr doesn't want the Big Ten to turn into NFL Jr. At the same time, he'd like the chance to ask to have plays reviewed, just like pro coaches do.
''If some things are reviewed and some aren't, then you have controversy,'' Carr said, "and the whole purpose of this thing was to avoid controversy.''
Carr didn't disagree with two plays that were overturned in the final minutes of the Wolverines' 17-10 loss to Notre Dame on Saturday. One review showed that quarterback Chad Henne had fumbled at the goal line. A second review determined that Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn's knee was down before he fumbled.
Carr thought Henne scored earlier, but because coaches can't request a review, the play stood.
''I certainly would have asked for that play to be reviewed,'' Carr said.

Notebook: Ohio State done in by two-headed monster

Section G had better arms than Henne
Nice class by the Michigan student section, which reigned down plastic cups (and other stuff) Saturday after a couple of instant replay reviews went against Michigan.
Hey dopes, it's instant replay. That means the zebras got it right. There have been 77 reviews in 101 I-A games so far this season. Twenty-six (34 percent) have been overturned. Six of 11 calls in the Big Ten have been reversed.
The cups should have been hurled at the defensive coaching staff, which was embarrassed on the opening Notre Dame touchdown drive. That was the difference in the game.
All that's missing are pepper spray and street riots
Ohio State tries to rebound this week against San Diego State, but clean-up crews are still reeling from the trash left from the Texas game -- 43.6 tons of it, according to the Columbus Dispatch. That's almost three times as much waste as the Sept. 3 opener against Miami (Ohio)
One Ohio State official counted 30-40 broken folding chairs, 12 charcoal grills, coolers filled with human waste and raw meat. In addition, he saw 17 tents, a burned couch, five pairs of shorts that had been soiled and what were described as piles of vomit.
Party on, Buckeyes.

Well for me its not a big deal only because most of my family live in Columbia so we dont have to travel for TG. But I can fully understand your situation and others and how it will affect families plans. I am glad though it wasnt moved to TG day. That would have been really hard on alot of people. Good luck with the Canes.

Last Saturday was the 4th Time in NCAA history that 3 teams, all from the same Conference, all ranked in the Top Ten, lost in the same weekend.
The 3 previous times were all in bowl games. This was the first regular-season occurance.
This was also the first time it happened on the same DAY!
So.....congratulations to Ohio State, Michigan, and Iowa. You've made history!!!

Doubtful. Would be difficult to travel that far with a 9 month old.
I'm hoping for a Florida bowl this year, anyway....

The #1 ranked offense in the nation, Wisconsin, only has 7 points so far today. But they're winning!
