O....M.....G....

I have been going to game a Clemson my entire 28 years of life.....and I swear that is the loudest I have ever heard it get in Death Valley.

Of course, I am disappointed about the loss. There were several missed opporunities that would have made a difference in the outcome. But I am still proud of my Tigers, for yet again making a 4th-quarter comeback to put the game into OT.

Wow--what a game. I am so exhausted. And I think I may have permanently damaged my vocal cords.

GO TIGERS! Bring on the Eagles!

How about that SEC snoozefest?
At least that's what it looked like every time that I switched to it from the FSU/BC game.
Who would have thunk Wyoming would score more points on the Gators than Tenn?

Back to the real game of the night.
We jumped out 14-0 and then trailed 17-14 for much of the night.
I'm guessing Mickey Andrews got in the defense's a$$es at the half because we shut them out the 2nd half.
Drew Weatherford looked pretty good for FSU. maybe not early but his receivers did not help him out much at first.
And thank god we knocked the Eagles QB out although his backup was not bad. BC had like 27 chances at the end from the one yard line and could not get in. I'm very happy with the bend but don't break defense and special teams play. A blocked punt, 2 interceptions, one for a td.
The offense just need to show up for all four quarters.

The ACC looks pretty good!!

Let me just say that you guys played a hell of a game today. I thought you were going to pull it out. Now on my side, we got our butts handed to us. Bama played very well, and they are a very fast team. I was surprised on how quick they were as a team. Also a big CONGRATS to the Dores for being 3-0.

I thought we were, too. :( BUT....I can't be too upset about it, when they put up such a fight against a team like the 'Canes. I still think this is going to be a great year for Clemson.

I really was kinda surprised to see USC get beaten so bad after last week's game against UGA.

Vandy is still rollin' on! I just heard that Clemson will play a home and home with them in something like 2012....should we be afraid? Maybe so.

That's OK--you gotta cheer for your team.

Unfortunately, Clemson dropped out of both polls. :-? I know an L is an L, but I thought we played well enough that maybe we'd stay in. Oh well.

History, and not of the good kind. For the first time since November 3, 1969, neither Oklahoma nor Nebraska is in the AP Top 25.

Nebraska beat Pittsburgh on Saturday 7-6.

Ugliest. Win. Ever.

As the KC Star put it,
The Cornhuskers are a freak-of-nature 3-0, somehow topping opponents without playing offense. After Saturday’s 7-6 survival against Pittsburgh, ABC sideline reporter Jack Arute put his mike in front of Huskers coach Bill Callahan and said, “Let’s talk about your offense, Coach.”

Callahan replied, “Let’s not.”
Or the Omaha World Herald
During a six-possesssion stretch on Saturday, Nebraska gained 23 yards on 23 plays. Taylor was sacked 4 times... Nebraska was penalized 7 times and they punted all six times...
They had to block a field goal as time expired just to hold on.

NU's defense is playing light's out, but the offense has just been horrendous. Now that we're getting into Big 12 play, it could be a loooooong couple of months. :-?

So who's going to what games this weekend?

As you probably could have guessed, I'll be at the Clemson/Boston College game Saturday in the Valley. Should be a good game, but I hope it's not another nail-biter like the first three games. It would be nice to be able to relax a little at a game for once!

GO TIGERS!!!

I plan to be at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando this Saturday, where UCF will try to break the nations longest current losing streak in a game against Marshall.
