I'm sure BiLo wasn't too thrilled about having to pay out a million bucks...but they are getting a TON of free publicity from the deal, so it's definitely worth it!CUparrot wrote:BahamaBreeze wrote:[Saw that guy too this morning. And what a "real man"...loved that pink polo.Didn't anyone tell you pink is the "new black?" I'm surprised they didn't make him wear his BiLo T-shirt again. (The grocery store chain that sponsored the contest)
Congrats PHnSC on your HUGE win over the Gators. Have been a big Spurrier fan since he arrived at Florida......great to see he's doing so well this fast in Columbia.........especially considering he cut loose some of his returning players due to disciplinary actions before the season started. I've always kept a keen eye on the Gamecock program. Would love to get down to Brice someday! It would be amazing if Kentucky would shock the Dawgs and get U.S.C. to the SEC title game! Good luck against the Tiger Paws! It's already a great season for you guys but a win in this one would put it over the top! But whatever you do...don't brawl before, during or after the game please!PHnSC wrote: Hey Dr. Corona, I was born in Michigan. My family are big fans of UM, we adopted Carolina as our team when we moved here 22 years ago. We have been able to make it up to Ann Arbor the past two years for games. Hopefully we can knock off OSU and have PSU lose so we can win the Big ten. GO COCKS AND GO BLUE
I doubt they paid it out of their own pocket (although they still get the publicity!). We sponsored a golf tournament last year and I learned something: did you know that there are insurance companies that do nothing but provide insurance for things like that? We had a contest where people could buy raffle tickets for a shot a million dollar hole in one shot. If the winner got a hole in one on his tee shot on the par-3 15th, he'd have won a million bucks.MelliJellyBean wrote:I'm sure BiLo wasn't too thrilled about having to pay out a million bucks...but they are getting a TON of free publicity from the deal, so it's definitely worth it!
I was born in Muskegon, MI. Yeah I hope that we keep playing well with OSU coming to town. I just wish we could play like this all year. We seemed to always start slow and pick it up towards the end.Dr.Corona wrote:Congrats PHnSC on your HUGE win over the Gators. I am indeed ready for the BIG ONE!We seem to be playing our best ball of the year....but so is OSU. Nonetheless, I like our chances playing at home. I'm hoping the defense steps up and makes a major statement in this one. I think Hart is gonna have a big game....running and receiving. If we do beat OSU, I know those lightweights in East Lansing will tank against Penn State. They'd rather lose and not go bowling than win and send us into the BCS!

By the way, what part of Michigan are you from? I'm in the Flint area.
Doc, Ever hear of AJ Hawk and Bob Carpenter?Dr.Corona wrote: I am indeed ready for the BIG ONE!I think Hart is gonna have a big game....running and receiving.

That's awesome to find tix for face. Glad you get to go. Wish I could go, but at least I'll be able to watch it on TV now. I'm getting pumped for this game....got my orange on today at work. (Though I work at Clemson, so pretty much everyone has on orange today...)PHnSC wrote:Hey CUParrot, I finally was able to get myself a ticket for the game. Another Gamecock Club member sold me two for face value which was surprising, considering tickets are going for over 100 a piece. Hope you enjoy the game, but not to much.GO COCKS
Gee 3/4.....I was gonna say the same thing about Michigan!!3/4 Time wrote:Doc, Ever hear of AJ Hawk and Bob Carpenter?Dr.Corona wrote: I am indeed ready for the BIG ONE!I think Hart is gonna have a big game....running and receiving.

Henne is going to have to beat the Bucks this year.
If our offense doesn't choke and plays loosely, we will win in the Big House.......
Take a ESPN2 cleaver sign so you can get on TV!PHnSC wrote:Hey CUParrot, I finally was able to get myself a ticket for the game. I think its a good idea. I mean there was no reason for last year to happen. We can be rivals and have fun with it, and not feel like we have to hate one another. I say shake hands, and let the game began. Doing your talking on the field.CUparrot wrote:That's awesome to find tix for face. Glad you get to go. Say--what do you think of this whole hand-shake thing before the game? Think it will do any good? I hope our players (from both teams) behave themselves tomorrow.
GO TIGERS!!!!!
Now that's what I'm talkin' about!poohbear1324 wrote:GO TIGERS
Yep. The game will air in its entirety only in S.C. I think it may also still be available pay-per-view for those outside the state, if you REALLY want to see it.BahamaBreeze wrote:I just heard that it will be on ESPN2 UNTIL 7:45pm when they will switch to the LSU/MSU game. What the heck????
Its all about the money. You would think that the donations we give JUST to BUY tickets would be enough.CUparrot wrote:Yep. The game will air in its entirety only in S.C. The whole situation with the TV coverage has been very screwy.

Tomorrow I head south on 99 to witness what most would consider to be the biggest upset this century...everyone except for us Bulldog faithful. We know what we have and are ready to shock the college football world.
But if we don't, I'll just go hide under a rock!
Brother, you know u don't need an invite...just booze!CVParrothead wrote:Thanks for inviting me RayTravelin'man wrote:This is it folks! T-21 hours 'til one of the most important games in the Bulldogs' history.
