WOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!

GB, I'll give ya call later this afternoon. JOhnny's is a great bar. If people want to meet at Trader Todds down the street too, that is cool. Feel free to give me a call anyone, (except IUPH, she's a little slow) 773-841-8235.

Bottoms up

Eric

ps, GB, have you contacted Jim SHorts yet?

BN's gingerbread man will be in town - may be a nice photo op!

That's right, you can't catch me! Unfortunately, I left my gingerbreadman
outfit at home...

I never did and still don't know Wrigleyville all that well, so me & mrs are
gonna try to get to the Blue Bayou as early as we can. phjim posted this
news from the tribune, which mentions the Blue Bayou

http://www.buffettnews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39883

so I suspect now they will not be able to fit all the parrotheads in?

If we can't get in there, then I guess we just wander.

Pardon the typo's but this gawdddam webtv is a piece of sheet..it took 15 efn minutesjust to type this...oh...7-11 right across the field is charging 6 bucks for smokes..PSA for all you smokers..bring an extra pack from home...

i Iike the word weenie...makes me chuckle..
Yup, it was tough research...  We thought Johnny O'Hagan's was good because they've got a neat back room that we can just take over for BNers...and it has a fireplace to keep Breeze warm in this non-Florida weather  . So, that's where I'll head...noonish. It's just ~3 short blocks from Wrigley on the southwest corner of Clark and Roscoe. If you're taking the el train, you can get off at Belmont (3200 N) or Addison (3600 N) walk west to Clark St. and then just find the bar at 3374 N. Clark.

OK....This weekend I saw:

Quiet and Shy, Gulfbreeze, Quiet Storm, ladyparrothead, SchoolGirlHeart, big hat carmen, and Capt Cougie: I am so glad I got to meet and spend a little quality time with you all! It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening!!

Sunday, I spent waaaaaaay too much time migrating, and not enough phlocking! I apologize to everyone for being such a scatterbrain...

Brief encounters with BNers on game day, that I wish woulda lasted longer:
big hat carmen, Capt Cougie, CaptainP, chitownpirate and Michelle, Coconuts and lonepalmbj, coolblueswing and crew, Finsupinfla, flyin illini, gingerbreadman, Gulfbreeze, irichcajunphan and midget, job41475, ladyparrothead, Lee2, LIPH (the other Lee  ), opharbour, Quiet and Shy, SchoolGirlHeart, Thegoatgod and friends (soon to be newbies), and ZeroDuval.

Big Phan and Dean: It was great to finally meet you and visit for a bit, and I do hope we can get together again!

chibears: DAMN! You were sexy in that tropical toga! It was great sharing in so many photo ops with you, and just hanging out (you more than me  ) in general! You absolutely rock! Tell Eric I appreciated the lei, but wish he woulda skipped the shower and visited longer! :o I'll let you know how therapy goes for missing our chance for a big time Bermuda Triangles break through!!

iuparrothead: Sorry I announced our Middleton encounter for all the Brown line to hear!  Thanks for your part in making Wrigley '05 one for the memory books, and for being bright enough to provide abc gum in lieu of glue!! It got me thru the show, and well into the night! Gum - the next best thing to duct tape! I just guess I'll have to refinish the minibar top for it's next outing, cuz I don't think a scraper will work!

Wino you know: Well after all the hustle and bustle of the day, I'm glad I finally got to visit with you at Murphy's. I was getting a bit weary by then, so I don't know how good of company I was. Please know, your kind words made me warm and tingly... :D

Novelist's eye: Even our time together was sporadic, but good fun nonetheless!! When we managed to skirt by the 1st 8 ushers in the aisle and dance briefly by the 3rd row, it was magical!! We must have confused them enough with what we were wearing that we got some precious seconds up front!! And we were "this close" to getting by and having seats to stand in front of! dang!!

Tropical Homey and Pirate Admirer: Interesting times indeed! Seeing you 2 escorted by police out of McDonalds for using the men's room was hysterical, and thanks for my 1st midnight burrito under the el tracks! It was special!! Then me - the country girl who is afraid of the city and stuck with you so I would get home safely - being the one to look up and notice "we're going the wrong way!" on the red line! I cannot believe it took an hour, and getting on and off 5 different trains, to make it a mile, and Heather lives there! :o Then you were both sleeping - it's a good thing you had me to protect you and get you home! Julie, the very intelligent, thougthtful guy who said you and I look like Joan London and Katie Couric - what a riot! We really need our own news magazine show!

Johnny & the Beach Bum Band: I hope we weren't too annoying yelling in from and dancing out on the street. We were a little fired up at that point!

BoozeInTheBlender, finsupnorth, and Coconut Bra: I missed you all at Wrigley, and I hope Joliet was a good time had by all!

And DD recipients: Booze (again), SMLCHNG, shakerofsalt, and balcony girls - wish you were here!

Well Well Well!!!

Where to begin. First off, it was SO GREAT to meet all the Bn'ers that I did this weekend. I know I would forget someone, so I will try not to list names, but everyone was great, thank you very very much.

So, I think I may have been the "second" most popular person in Wrigley this weekend. That brilliant idea of wearing a Toga around was a HUGE hit. I was certainly an attention whore. I talked to so many people and was in maybe a million pix. Me and Tiki posed with many a PH that day. THough, disappointed we never got to play triangle. Oh ya, beer count was certainly in the 20's that day, may have even hit 30. WOW!!! I know some of you saw me Murphy's after the show, WHAT A TRAIN WRECK i was. Sorry I disappeared, but Chibears had to cut himself off. I was done like DOne Donerson.

Then came Monday. Very difficult rise to the morning. Made it over to the show, ran into more BN'ers, very cool. I also got stopped constantly because so many people remembered me as the Toga dude from the day before. Let me say this, many of these people I had swore I had never seen in my life. Some even told me their names, as if that would help. Got stopped many times and asked about my Tye Dye shirt, everyone wanted to know where I got it. I had no idea, but I very kind person did buy it for my drunk ass.

Thanks again everyone for the great time, lets do again real soon and to everyone I met, feel free to drop me a line or call anytime(especially if your wasted)

WOW! What a weekend! Well, I know I will forget some peeps, but here goes what I can remember!

Remember winning tickets on Saturday to go to the show on Sunday at the Beach Bums show in Joliet. Don't know how that happened, we never win anything! I lived in Vegas 8 years and the most I ever won was $125! I am a BIG gambler, can you tell? :D I sooo did not want to go to the concert! I don't know why! I know, I know, blasphemy! I didn't want to get to Wrigley and get stuck down there with all the craziness! Well, I am so glad we went! I even learned some things this weekend! See, it was educational, along with being phun!

Saw lots of BNer's on Saturday. I don't want to try to start a list, b/c like Chibears, I will certainly forget someone and everyone was so great, I don't want to hurt feelings! They even let my hubby be in the pic. Now he has to have a screen name. UH-OH. I think I will have to post even less than I do now! Could be trouble! :o

I remember partying with Joe after the show in Joliet. Mistake. BIG mistake! You must watch the quiet ones, ladies!   I could hardly keep my balance after that and things are very fuzzy! (one of my learning expericenes!)

I remeber driving to Wrigley, parking and running directly into Captain P and Paula. I can't wait to party with her after 26.2 next month in Chi town!

I remember taking the senic route to Blue Bayou with Kevin, Capt. P and Paula, only to find out everyone was somewhere else! I have a huge blister on my left foot from walking what seemed almost like 26.2 in my flip-flops!

I remember stopping at a bar with the above mentioned peeps and having a beer and the bartender buying us a shot!

I remember landing at Bernie's and things getting real crowded. Ran into lots more BN pholks and drank lots more beer!

I remember Kevin getting such a kick out of Tiki's "mini bar!"

I remember shading my eyes from the sun to look up to talk to Chibears!

I remember thinking how impressed I was that LIPH sits on what I believe to be the "right side" of the legal table!  (I'm serious about that, LIPH, hope you are not offended that I have judged! Please take it as the compliment it was meant to be!) :D

I remember getting THE nicest compliment I had all weekend from Wino You Know!

I remember BHC wearing her Beganniversary shirt! How cool! 8)

I remember IUPH saying how dorky guys are best, b/c they take good care of their girls! (No, we weren't talking about you Kevin! ) See what I mean, there is only trouble on the horizon for me if Kevin gets a screen name and starts posting, or worse yet, starts reading my posts! :D

I remember the entire Buffett show (I have learned a lot about pacing myself this weekend!) and how cool it was to be one of the thousands at the event he had waited so long for and worked so hard to do! 8)

I remember how much I love Jimmy and his music, but how this has all become not about the music as much as it is the new friends I make along the way. (OK, I'll stop the sappy s***!)

I remember how FINE Peter Mayer looked on Monday! Could he have been any hotter??? Kevin sure enjoyed the aftermath from that!

I remember hearing Peter Mayer's song "Walking to the Sun" playing right after both shows and Kevin and I walking out singing at the top of our lungs, being the only people in ear shot who knew the song or the words! :D

I remember on Monday how sorry I was I didn't see anyone from BN! My fault. We went for the show and left to come home right after!

I remember that I live in Ohio and winter is coming. I remember I am in school and have an assignemnt due Sept. 12. I remember wanting to feel deeply depressed. I thought about meds, but then I remembered, MOTM is just around the corner! :D 8) Can't wait to see all of you there!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

Until next time...as Peter Mayer says, "Don't know what will be, just around the bend, but until I'm there, it's good to have a friend!" Or even lots of them! Thanks for a GREAT weekend everyone!
