Let me see if I understand this:
1. people bust on Jahfin about the articles he posts and he gets p*** off
2. people bust on PM because they get tired of hearing about his pet project and he gets p*** off
3. people bust on me because: a. I'm old; b. I'm from NY; c. I'm a lawyer; d. I'm a Mets fan; e. any number of other things, real or imagined - I don't get p*** off, I bust back at them. And I seem to get along with most of the people here. I wonder why?

As usual you left out a very important factor, the majority of posts directed at PM and myself have been mean spirited. They are also fully intended to anger the person they're directed at. For concrete evidence of that look no further than Ringling, Ringling's comments earlier in this thread where he out and out admitted to that being the motivation behind his posts. On most every other message board I'm aware of, admission to "trolling" or "baiting" in this manner would be grounds for banning that person but for some reason, those rules don't apply here. They're allowed to get away with it again and again.

You mean like you changing my screen name to Long Island Peckerhead when I've never altered your screen name? Or like your "***** YOU" response to me yesterday when I posted that picture in another thread when I'venever said anything remotely close to that to you?

Well, that’s quite an unfair comparison there. When I go online and search for a specific message board, find one I like that has to do with the topic I want to discuss, I most likely join it. When I join, I come with the intent of posting about the forum’s namesake, and to discuss that with others. Joking is one thing and is more then welcome in my book, but this is harassment. Maybe you haven’t seen all of Ringling’s posts on this matter, and so your don’t know the big picture, but trust me.

I actually made it a point to go through and read the adventures that have gone on between the lot of you before I posted anything.

Harassment would be if you were being threatened and alienated. Trust me, I know what real life harassment is. Harassment is vindictive and done out of spite and usually anger.

This is not harassment. This is good natured ribbing because you're making yourself a perfect target. You are expressing that you are taking this seriously, and thus feeding the fire.

Wow, I'm having flashbacks to Thanksgiving where my brother in law threw a hissy fit and his mom told him to shut the hell up and get over it while she was laughing (my b-i-l is very thin skinned and very cranky). Mind you, my b-i-l is 25 and my husband is 32, so we're not talking about children, either.

So, no matter what I say or how well I word it I am outnumbered here by members of the clique (which also apparently extends to some of the mods) so I am always going to be wrong.

No one's right or wrong... they're just different viewpoints. And just because there are a lot of people with different viewpoints than one's own, does not make the others a clique. They are just different people with similar viewpoints.

For the record, some people here perceive this as happening just the opposite as you... that you are trolling or baiting them. I see it both ways, and do my best to have the individuals cease such behavior.

And there is only one person here who actually knows how to disagree the right way, and that is Key Lime Lee (with the possible exception of other reoccurring members). Everyone else who speaks against my reissue topic doesn’t know what the hell they’re talking about and just do so to be punks. I’m all for an opposing viewpoint, but I’m not getting any of those from the clique members. I’m getting harassment.

I?d suggest you do whatever float your boat there, but I hope in addition the whole ?Now stop it, all of you? motheresque way of dealing with this type of argument is dropped for actually finding out the root of the problem, and dealing with it from there. That can be done simply by looking at the first page of the thread to see where the detour began. If not, I don?t know what to tell you. Only expect the problem to arise again and more threads to go off topic

I can't help it, I'm a mom. And it is my personal nature to try to use humor as a defense mechanism... kinda like Chandler Bing.

I have a really good grasp on the root of the problem, I just don't have the solution, and seriously, never will. We are dealing with 100's of individuals here, and you can't contol anyone else's actions. I think "both sides" have expressed their opinions, but neither "side" can reach middle ground, muchless understand the other's perspective.

All we can do, is try our best to get along, and speckled throughout this thread are my thoughts on how to do this.
