But Ringling and those others who are joking around are doing just that, joking around. They aren't taking offense, or trying to justify anything. They're kidding.

We're not having presidential debates or life and death discussions. It's a fun place. Have fun. If they poke fun at you, don't try to be serious, because as in real life, that is always going to get you poked at more.

I get poked fun of here, too, and I laugh at it. Plus, if I really don't like the comment, I just won't respond. It always ends there

Either way, it doesn't change the fact that Ringling, Ringling is apparently unable to accept the fact that Parrot Monkey is going to suddenly drop his efforts to have Buffett's back catalog reissued and myself (and others) that post articles also aren't going to stop doing so. A decision was made on that a long time ago and himself and others are well aware of that. So, why all the complaining, even if done so in a humorous manner? It doesn't change a thing, I have no intention of stopping posting articles and I can only imagine Parrot Monkey isn't going to give up what is obviously a very worthy cause to him and others.

Oh yeah, its also hot enough to melt cheese for anyone into that sort of thing.

I think the point is, he's not complaining. He's TEASING you to see how you will react. Did you never have a brother? I see people teasing people all over this board, and it's how the one being teased chooses to react to it that shows the level of maturity. You and Parrot Monkey react so easily to "good-natured ribbing," choosing to interpret it as complaining or attacking you. It's really amazing to the rest of the people on this board who do enjoy your posts. It takes a thicker skin and an ability to not care what other say to just not react, that's all.

Explain why it's stupid? If I think someone is posting here because they're "starved for attention" (Jahfin's owrds, not mine) the logical thing to do is ignore them. Not respond to every post that particular person makes. For whatever reason you and Jahfin can't seem to let anything go, and all the two of you do most of the time is repeat yourselves like broken records. You rarely, if ever, bring anything new to the table.

I may have been able to regard it as joking the first time (but not funny at all) and was able to ignore it. But, when the same sentence kept creeping into threads all around the board, as well as the mention of my screen name used to put me in a bad light, I then started to see it as harassment.

Hey, y'all have no intention to stop doing what you're doing. Others here have no intention to cease busting your a$$es about it. Seems fair to me...

That is the perfect analogy! My husband and brother are exactly like that. My husband will poke and prod at his brother until he gets the nasty attitude back, and then just keeps right on going. Of course, everyone around laughs because his brother's being ridiculous.

I couldn't have come up with a better analogy!!!!

harrassment is using the copy artwork and liner notes, intimidation is the original.

I see a big difference of extreme there when your trying to change something for the better (something that has more then enough to do with this forum’s namesake) as well as put effort into it…
