must buy game and discover sex scenes
[/end note]

now the old game GTA:VC allowed you to run a p*** movie studio and a strip club :pirate:
and you could have a sports car, pick up a hooker, take her to a secluded spot and watch the car srart rockin 8)
From what I understand the "scene" that has causes so much controversy is a mod that must be downloaded from the internet. I did my undergrad senior thesis on realism in video games and one of the games I studied was GTA: Vice City it is interesting to see these games in the news after studying them.

The game depending on you ask either had an M or an AO rating....I have seen both said. The only difference is M one has to be 17 and for AO they have to be 18. The rating system is more or less of a joke IMNSHO........

UAH,
The scene is on the game itself,... supposedly it was to have been deleted...before the final production but was not. All one needs to do is dl and install the cheat code. There are numerous cheat codes for most video games out there. Entering cheat codes are fairly easy to do as well...
Cheat codes allow different things to affect the game. Such as making your character invincible, better weapons, armor, hidden levels, weaker or less opponents, or they can have the opposite effect, etc...
NOTE "Cheat codes" are NOT "Easter eggs".....

Surely this "news" has made it a hit with kids, script kiddies, and others wanting tosee this scene.

The scene itself can be downloaded as a video for free....it runs around 1.5 mins and is about 8.3 or so mb in size. This allows everyone and anyone that wants to get the actual scene. No age verification was asked on at least one site..

Sure there are adult computer games out there that no one hardl ever talks about... such as "Leisure suit Larry and Pursuit of the Lounge Lizards" in various versions...last I heard they were up to vs 8. It is an adult RPG game and the idea is to get Larry laid. If one knows where to look one can download it and other games off the internet for free....

As Sy said .... there is no real adult section.... go to Target or Walmart and look in the computer games...
"Most" parents probably don't bother to read the labels on the games or know what they mean.

Go to the movie theater....go see an "R" rated movie...How many people are in there under 17???
Roll with the punches, play all of your hunches...come what may...

And yes I love the idea of an adult section of video games.
OMG .... don't smack him in the head in public whatever you do..... I know of a case in a grocery storewhere a mother smacked her child for being a hellion (... pulling stuph off shelves and what not )... not even hard enough leave a red spot.... some one called the cops on her and she got arrested. The family went through Hell.... had the keets taken away for a while... they had to be investigated.... she had lost her job for not being ablee to go work.... and more....I forget how much it cost the family.... but I think it was over or around $35,000.00 They finally got the keets back.

another sad ridiculous story. I have teenage sons. Sometimes I just smack them in the head. Really I couldn't hurt them if I tried. Kind of like what are you thinking kid.

I agree with you there...I don't think most parents spank their kids often enough sometimes.....I did not say abuse....I said spank.

I'll admit to giving my kid a swat on the butt when they were little. Nothing even remotely abusive or even painful. I have two very lively boys. They wanteed to run in opposite directions up trees, into the street, pulling cans off of shelfs in grocery stores, etc. The only thing they got in trouble for was flat out not listening when I knew for sure they understood and knew better.

Here was something that absolutely disgusted me:

Went to see the Romero zombie movie the weekend after it came it. Actually saw a father and mother walk three (3!!!) young (could not have been any older than 8 or 9 down in front of us and sit down. Movie was probably 15 minutes into it when the youngest starts crying. Takes at least ten minutes before the mother yanks the child and nearly drags her up the stairs and out of the theater.

Disgusting.

and yet, kids can do damned well what they want in public. (I attract this type of idiocy, I swear! I'm a freaking magnet!) I was in Spencers gift store in our local mall getting my husband a last minute gift. Apparently I offended this nasty child by existing and he hauled off and kicked me in the shin. Now, mind you, I had not said anything, did not even know he existed until I fell over. The mother did absolutely nothing!!!! Nothing! No apology, said nothing to me or the kid, just took the child by the hand and walked out of the store! The manager helped me up and wanted to get security. In hindsight, I should have let her. I had had such a long day I just wanted to go home.

I will bet and lay odds, tha they are the same people that would not hesitate to call you on it, if the situation was reversed.
Also bet and lay odds they don't care what, "their sweet little darlings" watch or play either.... ( they obviously don't care what the keets already do....)

I think we pretty much agree on this game issue....just are not real sure to do about it...

BTW anyone play the Sims 2 game?? No I don't play it. I found a patch for it to see nude pixillated people...LOL

I raised my kids with alot of freedom parents don't give but strict rules when it comes to respect and accountability. Believe me they're spirit is not chilled in the least. They've had their share of scrapes.
My one son just had to pick up a second summer job to pay for his traffic ticket. It would be fairly easy for me to help him with this. But I want him to learn his lesson.
But my sons don't have a curfew and have been surfing since they were 7yo. I do always need to know where they are.

Ahhhh....so nice to hear of a parent actually teaching their child that mystical thing so rare called responsibility.

I say that with bitterness because I'm sitting upstairs watching the group of hooligans outside not move when traffic goes by because they're sitting in the middle of the street in front of my house. Yes, sitting as in butts on pavement. If there are ever examples of irresponsible parents, they must all live in my development. Bunch of stupid yuppy white collar schmucks who either work two jobs because they need to pay for their mercedes and the mortgage, or kick their kids out of the house because it's too much bother to spend any time with them.

Sorry, I'm annoyed right now. :x

Geeze in the heat out here you send your keet out they would probably bust you for "child abuse/neglect". We have a heat warning.......Heat index 110 or better..... I remember when growing up we were sent outside to play and never heard of a "heat warning"... and God help us if someone saw us playing in the street....

Most keets I have encounter around here tend to be polite and well mannered... NOTE NOT ALL are....but most of them are.

OCG , sounds like your doing a great job!!! Keep up the good work!!!

Here is something else to be considered.... since Granma supplied the game rated for at least a 17 yo, the 14 year old....isn't that contributing to the delinquency of a minor?

Don't gamble on it.. Tho you could hope the judge would be able to apply common sense. If the prosecutor is up for re-election tho, I would almost bet they'd use something like this to show they are "pro-family values" and "tough".

Oh yes. Hubby and his brother switch off playing that in the bedroom. It's ok, I didn't like the gameplay itself, but it's borderline disturbing when you're watching it on a big screen tv.

Wasn't that the one blamed for the death in the UK?
