I live in Ocean City. Local PH club has their annual Spring Island Frenzy and Fall party at the OD with a JB band and a cheeseburger buffet. I don't know where you live now but you should try to come out to the fall party. It's a great time in the old OD which is still the same as ever.Shoebees in Sea Isle City. It's owned by the same guy who owns the Ocean Drive bar next door

Navy Seals are Cooler then Pirates

You Can Dream Anyway, There's always next year!!!

Welcome aboard! Come find us in the parking lot at Philly... We're hard to miss... And i'll give you the official welcome...Island Mutt wrote:Thanks everyone. yeah i'll be there on Saturday. I'll be the guy pushing my trashcan keg-a-rator on wheels around the tailgate lot. Built in the lot at last years show so it has to come this year. I'm also considering bringing back the old tradition of the tub of frozen margaritas stirred with a stainless steel paint stirrer & my dewalt drill. Not sure what we'll be grilling yet. maybe fajitas hopefully I see some new friends therePA PAR8 HED wrote:Will we see you at Citizens Bank Park in Philly this summer?
I wish I could say look for the Buffett hat (see my AV) but I lost it last year. That hat made it to 8 Buffett shows. I had fashioned it out of a big round womens sun hat. It didn't look anything like a cowboy hat when I started and it certainly didn't look like the Hawaiian punch hat it finished up as. I recut it and soaked it in water. then molded into it's new form and then sat holding it for the next couple hours while it dried. a little fraying and it was nearly complete. some spray glue and the miller label cut from an aluminum can of MGD it was perfect. I have a new straw hat for this year, but it doesn't have the sentimental value that one had. it was unique.
Read some of the posts in the Pre-Concert Gathering section to see what I'm talking about...
I'm sooo excited about Philly! Woo hoo!!!!
Oh well, welcome to this wild and crazy bunch!

You'll dig this site Mutt. Very cool, helpful people. Lot's of information. In fact, it's my second favorite board of all time. I think you're familiar with what I consider the bestest site in the whole wide worldIsland Mutt wrote:Hey HeadParrot, small world. I thought I might see you here.
Wish I could join ya in Philly. Sounds like you are gonna do it up right. I'd love to see that rolling kegerator. Someday maybe. Labor Day and Wrigley Field can't come fast enough for me.
Phins up, Island Mutt!

Welcome to this crazy group, Mutt! And great story...it reminds me of the summer job I had right around the same time washing dishes at a country club. I was also the low man on the totem pole, but the bartenders were the coolest guys in the whole place and would hook me up w/ a six-pack at the end of a tough shift. Must be the universal compensation for kitchen grunts!

Nice story Mutt. Welcome aboard. Do you live on the Jersey shore permanently? If not and you still live in Jersey... which part?
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

I don't even want to know what other board you two freaks belong to - probably has something to do with giving head to mutts, doesn't it?headparrot wrote:Inside joke....I'll let Island Mutt elaborate if he so chooses. He's a very powerful man.
Speaking of cool bosses - I pulled a 5'O Clock somewhere on Friday. I left work at 11AM to take my wife her car keys, and never came back. Haven't heard a thing about it yet...
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening

All I'll say is that the site involves someone who is in business with Jimmy in a roundabout way.
