Parrotvision obviously has the technology and people to do quick editing and it wouldn't take too much extra effort. Whaddya think?? (Ideal would be Indy show, since he's from the PHINdy club...but there wouldn't be shipping time. :D )

Not sure, but I think they'd have to be virgin boat drinks.... But maybe the new M'Ville non-alcoholic mixers would do. :D
Don't know what they can get imported, but my understanding is that it doesn't have to be a "dry" party. Hmmmmm..........makes me think that M'ville Tequila and Corona should be contacted about perhaps sending them some stuff (alcohol and/or promo items), as well.

Anybody with ideas on how to do that?? Thanks! :D
That would be a recent change then Alison ~ all they have been allowed is "near" beer :-?
Thanks for the info. That is probably my misunderstanding. I guess the question had be whether Buffettesque things (that depicted alcohol) could be sent. The reply had made me assume that there weren't restrictions, and I guess I assumed that pertained to alcohol.  I'm sure you're correct.

Now if it were to the Australian Defence Force - DIFFERENT story! (that is what tool boxes on trucks are for - to carry the beer!) :)

Good luck with it all!

I've forwarded that question...whether accelerated shipping routes (a al FedEx) could be used. If so...stay on standby.... :D

This sounds GREAT!

How about a thread on BN dedicated to the unit(s) that will be attending the party...everyone could post their wishes, thanks, etc. and maybe your PH Club member could read the posts????

Just got an email update and the Bagdad Buffettfest will now be in Mid-Sept (17th or 18th) to give some more prep time and to avoid conflict with other things that are going on that weekend. Also, it will be a "dry" (no alcohol) event.

This is an awesome idea. Can we start a BN Thread to send messages and thanks to the troops? We could get hundreds of posts to show our support!!!
Maybe even post some pictures of our support-ph style of course. And for those attending the Cincinatti show, they could add a little patriotic flair to their tailgate parties and send the pictures/videos across to the troops as a follow up. Wish I were going to Cincy to take part/lead by example

We could also do a toast to the troops and drink a cold one stateside in their honor

Also, 9/19 is National Talk Like a Pirate Day :pirate: www.talklikeapirate.com It won't be anywhere as cool as Buffettfest, but yet another way to keep things light on the heels of Buffettfest

Hey Four Play, any chance the SOASOAPT can make a detour to Bagdad to rally the troops???

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Sorry, got too excited and didn't read the whole thread. The first of many great efforts the BN crew will come up with to support this great cause.

How soon does stuff need to be shipped to Iraq?

Maybe we could pool some money and buy a few shirts to give away.
