That works! Except I think I would add "Civilians" (like John/Crash_Davis7, the creator of Buffettfest).Four Play wrote:I'll add the song references.
How about "Dear Servicemen and Women" instead?

No, THANK YOU!! I think you mean this, from the "messages" thread:crash_davis7 wrote:Looking back, I couldn't find the poem that was written called Buffettfest in Baghdad but the print out has already been seen by a few here and our plans are to use blow it up to poster size touse all over the zone if it's ok with you.
Again, thanks to you all.

Ladies and Gentlemen, you are the tops
You riflemen, drivers, mechanics and cops
The dudes in the Green Zone and outside the wire
Our praises for you couldn't get any higher
AD, Reservist, and National Guard
You make it look easy when the going gets hard
You deserve a vacation on a tropical beach
But this September weekend, that's just out of reach
So we'll send you a party, with our favorite band
You already have palm trees, sunshine, and sand.
The idea is "make a resort of your own"
Plop into a lawn-chair and unplug the phone
Just think of the ocean, the waves and bikinis
(OK, we'll say "board shorts" for you Admin Weenies)
If you can't hoist a cold one, you can do it in spirit
We'll give you a call-out (if you listen you'll hear it)
Your friends are all waiting for your safe return
In the meantime here's something everybody should learn
Politicians and diplomats throw up their hands
And Bad Guys start drawing their lines in the sands
We counted our treasure and checked our resources
And handed the job to the U.S. Armed Forces
We can all count on you guys to finish the work
Tho things will get broken and people get hurt
But we're sending our best to you (we call it FINZUP!)
We're pouring a beverage and raising a cup
And toasting your honor, long may it stand
Enjoy a brief respite (anybody got sand?)

I burned a copy of the PNC Park show with Jake Shimabukura playing the Star Spangled Banner at the beginning. If anyone has any other suggestions for music to send over, let me know and I'll see what I can do.Gulfbreeze wrote:I think Larry burned some last week...phjrsaunt wrote:Anyone sending some Buffet cd's??????????

I just finally figured out how to copy and paste on a program here at work, now I have to wait til I get home and see if I can do it there!!!
Phins crossed please as this is my last option, no burners at work,
and no other photo program that work at home.
Can't wait only 5 hours before I find out.

Does anyone know what the deadline is to get items in for the shipment and how many people are expected to attend? We have a bunch of "stuff" for the troops and want to make sure that we send enough and it gets there in time! Please advise
I highly recommend playing Jamaica Mistaica at volume!!crash_davis7 wrote:Hello again guys! John from Baghdad.
