On Jimmy Buffett's "Feeding Frenzy" he suggested that we should send all presidents of the savings and loan associations over to run the country of Iraq. Well, I was thinking that if he had been taken up on that, maybe none of you would be there today. Niether Sadaam nor Al Qaida would have had a chance against those land sharks. But in all seriousness, you are all doing a great job and a great service to our country. I thank you for your service and your bravery. You are all heroes in my book. Keep up the good work. It's true that we mostly hear the bad things here. That is what news organizations dwell on. However, we do hear the good stuff too. I personally am proud of what you're doing and your country is proud as well. After all, everyone deserves a shot at freedom and democracy. Through your service and hard work, the face of the entire Middle East is changing for the first time in history. The people of our beloved country keep you in our prayer daily. Freedom isn't free, but it is worth the fight.
So in the words of your Commander-In-Chief I say this from my heart, "May God bless you all and your families, and may God continue to bless America." Stay safe and come home soon. Hope you all enjoy the Buffett Fest. I'll be giving you all a shout and hoisting a glass in your honor. Count on it. There is no better place in the world than America, and no finer people than the men and women in uniform who serve her. Thank you.
