I missed out on 4 pages of fun, but ...
Neither Jimmy nor any of the Reefers have ever asked me what I make so I don't ask them what they make. They don't work for me, they're not employees of a public corporation in which I own stock and I don't work for the IRS so I don't have access to their tax returns. It's none of my business.
Can I have some cheese?

OK; SO WE WON'T KNOW WHAT THEY MAKE
We won't know unless I decide to do some serious detective work.
Which I will do when I have nothing else to do.
Which means I'll probably not investigate it at all
I want some more peaches from Walmart; that's #1 on my agenda on THIS MONDAY AFTERNOON !!!
I wanna post a picture too . I have dozens on Yahoo but dont know how to show any on here. Plus, none of my pics have a link anyhow

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

I disagree. They WORK for Jimmy. We ENJOY the fruits of their labor.RinglingRingling wrote:altho, technically, they do work for us...LIPH wrote:I missed out on 4 pages of fun, but ...

As has been stated, we hashed thru this before, the link was provided. And for those who failed to read either thread entirely, trust me that this is as much info as we're going to get on the subject from here:

They get paid by the week or portion of a week while they are on the road.
They make more than a McD fry cook, and less than a lawyer, but no one is driving Lamboghinis.

a) would they be sharing the fruits of their labours if we were not there to encourage them? It is a symbiotic relationship.Brown Eyed Girl wrote:I disagree. They WORK for Jimmy. b) frankly, I don't care how much they make. Stizz did put a nice point on it.

We Can Make Wild Guesses?
Let's see. Would it be reasonable for Amy Lee to make $1,000 for a 4hr gig? $1,200?
Or, would it make more sense that she'd get $500. No; that wouldn't be enough. So I'll say Amy Lee would make $800 - $1,200 for one gig.
Of course, if they'd want to replace her for a grandmother with no talent, I'd agree to sway and sing for ten bucks. JUST TO BE WITH JB, OF COURSE!

I'll sway and sing for ten dollars but I can't play the sax. I'll even agree to hold your hand at any given moment, no extra charge. Make coffee. Stir fry. Be a nanny???

Sadly you are right.greatheart wrote:If you weren;t interested in knowing, why click on this link? I don't understand why some people think they need to dictate what should and should not be asked on here. It makes people hesitant to post. Its not like rest of the discussion was filled with much useful info either, pertaining mostly to cheese. I guess I just can see how someone who is a fan of JB and the CRB would want to know such a thing. Since almost every other question has been asked on here its only natural that such a topic would come up. Bottom line- unless you are one of the moderators, don't tell people what they should write about.
Well, I am not sure about where you live but I do know that anything from average salaries to exactly what someone makes is published in many articles. Not saying I want to know what a CRB makes. I don't!!! I had a question about HOW they were paid, it was answered and I appreciate Steve being willing to even answer that question. Sadly, Jen.. I all to well agree with the above poster. The only thing the poster did not say that I will, is that the moderator should NOT allow a thread to be hijacked.SchoolGirlHeart wrote:I'm sure it must have occurred to someone besides me that beyond the privacy issues, the Coral Reefers' employer, Mr. Buffett, might just take a dim view of any of them telling people how much he pays them (much as many of our employers would object to us sharing that information with others)......
When they run you out of town make it look like you are leading the parade.

nah not this time. Cuz I don't want anyone to think I actually care what they make or whether I care enough to think I am someone enough to "sheild" the CRB so that it might one day get me to that "in" crowd.RinglingRingling wrote:I didn't say who had to deliver the obnoxious punchline.HsvParrothead wrote:Rick will have a good response... he always doesRinglingRingling wrote:<insert obnoxious punchline here>HsvParrothead wrote:more $$$ than Rick
