I can sooo picture SOAB beating the hell out of that snake with an umbrella...

Of course if it was me, the umbrella would pop open during the beating...causing 7 years of bad luck or whatever it is...which would probably start with the snake launching itself off the ground and biting me.... :o

I don't think you want to picture that.
I was fresh out the shower and not fully clothed. Something I did not want to mention but oh well. You would be flabbergasted to say the least :o

Hi Mal...
Hey GB!

I don't whack it at all! It lives in the basement which is considered "guy space." I hardly ever go down there.

It's a pretty snake, though. A Guianan Red Tail Boa.

Rats. Big ones.

I don't do the feeding though, that's hubby's job. He whacks 'em on the head and tosses them in. The snake could actually munch a small bunny, but in my book bunnies are pets, rats are not. So, rats it is. 2 large ones about every 2-3 weeks.

Back in college days, used to have a 7-foot Colombian boa that was free to roam. :o

Now, after you stop freaking out imagining this....
you should know that he was quite docile, spending most all his time up in a
"grotto" we created about 6 feet on a fireplace.
His name was Bubba and he'd hang out on his heat rock or branch
and wait for us to come over and pick him up and hold him.

very cool snake 8)
$#@&...only Vegas again?? Padres ...gotta start believin'!Bring on '14 Spring Training!

This is a picture Connie (ph4ever) took of the snake during her visit last month. This is just the first 6" of her body.

Mojo used to get handled a lot before hubby met me. She was only about 2" long then and lived in a standard aquarium. Now she lives in a 6' x 4' x 5' fortress in the basement.

yup. that's a boa :P
What do the kids think about Mojo?
Snakes seem to be a love 'em or hate 'em kinda proposition.
