Aaah..that's good..I guess, here in southeast Georgia they seem to have them all....

then there's the alligators...

Copperheads will take on the color of their environment, I've seen them a pale sorta pinkish gray and then others blend in perfectly with the beige and tan colors of lake rock.

I used to live in Florida and I worked for Disney. A lot of my friends knew I was not a big fan of snakes. Well, one night I was walking backstage to clock out after my shift with one of my friends. My friend goes to me "Hey, let's go clock out near costuming instead." Now I hadn't parked near costuming. My car was in the garage backstage so there was no way I was gonna walk all the way over there and then back. Well, next thing I know I see this snake and after that the next thing i remember is waking up in one of the break trailers with EMT's all around me. I had a huge gash on my eyebrow and my contacts had fallen out too. I guess according to my friend, I saw the snake and went down hard. That was the first time I had seen a live snake. Talking to my sister who is a psychologist... she says it's me defense mechanism becuase I have such a huge fear of the little suckers. I cant even watch them on tv or see pictures of them. I am absolutely petrified.

So if i was ever to find a snake in my house, I'd run away crying after fainting....
So I'm guessing that you don't have the DVD of Anaconda?

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,

Tonight I just need my guitar

No way!!! But when the movie came out, my friend was gonna pay me $100 to go see it in the theater, but I had to keep my eyes and ears open... Not worth it!

We have at least 4 varieties/speicies of rattlesnakes ( diamond back, canebreak, pygmy, and timber) here, and the coral snake, and the moccasins...and God only knows how many other nonvenoumous species.

Of course we have gators too.....so you don't usually see many snakes in the river when gators are around.....

I keep hearing they are docile...but anyone I've ever met that came in contact with one, says they wait until you are in striking distance and nail you...unlike most rattlers that will warn you...

even my corn snake will rattle his tail to scare you...it rattles against the paper on the bottom of his cage...
there's watersnakes up here but they aren't venomous. It's basically just rattlers.
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.

I've actually heard of something you can buy at the co-op/farm supply store, that is made just for keeping snakes away....sorry, I can't remember the name of the product.
