It was great, even emotional to watch Dan Marino inducted into the football hall of fame. Its been five years since I had the chance to cheer for him, felt like old times!

Yeah, no family resemblance whatsoever.longlinergirl wrote:I was sitting in my living room clapping and cheering...my kid thinks I am crazy. How nice that he son gave the speech! He did a good job and damn if he don't look like his dad...
Yeah war 13Duff wrote:Where have you gone Dan Marino? He could still easily outplay any QB the Phins attempt to put on the field this year. If we would have had just one running back the caliber of Ricky or Ronnie when he was around there would be Super Bowl trophies all over South Florida. War 13.
WAR 13. Didn't know there were other Jim Rome fans here.longlinergirl wrote:Yeah war 13Duff wrote:Where have you gone Dan Marino? Most definitely. Love the pimp in the box. However, some of the best talk radio I ever heard was in South Florida. Longline, you may be familiar with names like Neil Rogers and Jim Mandich. Good stuff.WAR 13. Didn't know there were other Jim Rome fans here.
Wish I could listen, love the sports talk radio.Duff wrote:Most definitely. Love the pimp in the box. However, some of the best talk radio I ever heard was in South Florida. What? No sports talk up north?Wish I could listen, love the sports talk radio.
We've got sports talk up here, but if it ain't hockey, no-one seems to want to talk about it. I have to get all my good sports talk from WGR 550 in Buffalo. Thankfully I'm close enough to get good reception. At least they talk about all sports and not just the stupid Leafs. And that's all the Toronto stations want to talk about.Duff wrote:What? I love mad dog...lol...I listen to him online doing the games! I love Jim Rome to! I like when Roger Lodge fills in for him! Where are you up north? I listen to ESPN radio 99.7 the Score here in RI. You can also find it online on ESPN.com I believe.
That is just f*n creepy
I used to be in sales, that's how I got hooked on Rome too.Duff wrote:I love mad dog...lol...I listen to him online doing the games! I love Jim Rome to! I like when Roger Lodge fills in for him! My bad, I just always assumed you lived in South Florida based on all your Dolphin posts. By up north I was referring to Left Field being in Canada. I'm in Indiana now. I lived in Palm Beach for three years and loved listening to Neil Rogers, Mad Dog and Hank Goldberg on WQAM. But being in sales I listen to Rome everyday. Along with Roger Lodge, Skip Bayless is hilarious. He's always ripping Ohio State, saying they got lucky against Canes two years ago.
