No Clue??? I was just starting the 8th grade.

But I'll take a guess........was it the Challenger Shuttle disaster?

I believe that is incorrect.........
I believe that game was rained out and not an ophicial game.
8/9/88 was the first ophicial game.....

I may be wrong, we all drank a few those two nights.....

No one happier than I when the first night game at Wrigley was rained out. I couldn't stand knowing my birthday and that date were the same.

Wasn't Prince William born on August 8, 1988?
Dumb and drunk as I was, you know I would do it all again.

Zero beat me to it... the 1st game under the lights was 8/9/88... which was one of the trivia questions I answered correctly en route to winning my Sportsfest wedding! 8)

Well, yes... now that I've looked at everyone else's responses, I am reminded of the rainout... I stand corrected. The first complete night game actually happened on 8/9/88.
